  1. Interesting..never seen the show, maybe the car in the show was missing the badge on the left rear quarter? The license plates are oddly underscale..the Blue Brothers 1/24th Monacos had the same issue.
  2. I try and keep my dogs out of my hobby room..the good thing is they are all small (ranging from 6 to 16 lbs) so they are down close to the floor. But they tend to try and eat anything they find on the floor..
  3. They are all older than me.
  4. Ah, your are right..those are the worst. I recall first encountering those on a mid '70s AMT Mustang II kit.
  5. That is my understanding. Happened in the 1990s. The last issue of the AMT 72 was in the early 80s shown in bright blue on the box. The MPC 72 was reissued about 15 years ago, red car on the box.
  6. The 64 Mercury Marauder ht has been reissued at least 3 times in the last 20 years. I'm not aware of a curbside version of the 65 Continental conv. It's always had wire axles; that was the standard approach for 60s annuals. All the ones I have from the annual through the most recent reissue have an engine.
  7. Random quasi-related tire thought..wonder what would be a good whitewall radial tire for an '80s car.. Really would like to find some that would look credible as stock whitewalls on Revell's '80s Cutlass and '80s Caddy..the typical 60s-70s tires seem too narrow. I wonder about the tires in the new '76 Torino kit..
  8. I see it..yellow '60 Chevy. Nice
  9. I had been successful at uploading photos from my iPhone or Mac using the 'Drag files here to attach' feature, but a few days ago I started getting errors. I took a screenshot.
  10. Ah, didn't realize you had one..linked to my photos.
  11. These have been discussed in other threads. Just straight reissues w/ new box art.
  12. There are two sets of black tires...one with white letters, ones with out. Different tread patterns. One set is slightly skinnier than the other .
  13. Wow...mall car shows..I remember those, went to a bunch in the late 70s through late 80s in E/NE Ohio...
  14. The step side bed is the neat part..the truck is a custom anyway, it has a V8 according to the box art...
  15. I wouldn't mind seeing the Revell/Monogram 620 4x4 w/ trailer and bikes reissued...was last out in '03, didn't get one then.
  16. Reminds me of Dennis the Menace comics.
  17. Compared to the version from maybe 15 years ago, it is now molded in white. Still has the same ugly custom wheels as an option and lots of parting lines on the body. (I tried uploading a photo of the two versions, but got an error.)
  18. Speaking of Matchbox, I picked up a neat 1960s Nissan Junior truck from them the other day.
  19. R&R made one, looks like it is still available via Star Models (though it is listed as a Bel-Air) http://resinrealm.net/Star/STAR Models/63_Bel-Air_SW.html
  20. Saw a sharp bright red '57 Chevy Bel Air 2dr ht on I-77 Sunday afternoon...unusual to see a 60yr old car out in December in NE Ohio..
  21. I got two of these, but plan to use the vinyl tires for the stock version..2-piece plastic tires are just too awful.
  22. Yes, just a reissue w/ different box art.
  23. I've never had one of the GMC kits, but I do remember building the S10 kit back in the day...molded in bright red w/ lots of sink marks..the wheels and tires seemed oversized.
  24. I have a '69 Cuda hardtop from AF/X N Scale Resin I got about a decade ago, can't recall if it came with rear window or not. It is a complicated shape. I always liked that roofline, neat how the side window starts curving downward over the door...
  25. Yes...t.m. is short for Time Machine. Got one kit (69 Coronet wagon) from him a couple weeks ago and the box label says Time Machine Resin. Waiting on another one now ('69 Cuda convertible).
