  1. Reissue of a reissue of a reissue. New box art.
  2. That must have been the inspiration for some of the chases in the modern 'Mission Impossible' movies... LoL..
  3. Oddly it looks like the original post was posted 3 times. I picked up this kit unbuilt about 10 years ago...haven't built it yet, but enjoy building stock kits of this era.
  4. It sounds like it is a 2n1 including the parts from the previous 'custom' (more 'street machine') version...basically the 2008-2009ish 2n1 release w different box art.
  5. With Speedtest: Ping: 23ms, Download: 276.35 Mbps, Upload 33.5 Mbps With Bandwidthplace: Ping 37ms, Download 259.54 Mbps, Upload 37.13 Mbps. Time of day makes a big difference, if I try in evening downloads seem to be down in the 90-100 Mbps range. It seems the slowness I see on this site is mostly if I click on a link I haven't previously clicked on (unread thread), which makes sense as there wouldn't be any cached pages in my browser (Safari).
  6. Got a bit of snow here in the Cleveland area...flying back to Phoenix Saturday to continue packing for my move back here.
  7. Could be algorithmic based on your past orders....I know when I order from them, I always seem to get the free shipping.

    MPC J car

Sharp...never seen one of these kits in person, I assume they have a lot in common w/ the MPC GT40 Mk IV kit...I have a couple of those, the issue with the trailer (have the box but the trailer is missing) and the 80s reissue...
  9. Yes, he sold R&R (through another reseller--Star Models) and also sold his own resin product under the name Mason City Motors or Mason City Resin previously IIRC, now under the Resin Realm brand..
  10. Woo..that Ebbro Citroen food truck looks so cool.
  11. Check with RMR...they have an SSR listed http://www.rmrmodels.com/Products.html
  12. Those 1/32nd Lindbergs and a few Revell Snap-Tites in 1/32nd also were my starting point in the hobby 40 years ago. Fun stuff...still have mine stashed away somewhere.
  13. No, two completely different, unrelated cars. The Revell '70 Torino kits would give the correct chassis and engine, and be a close start for the interior.
  14. That Talbot looks interesting. Speaking of Heller, was there any mention of the Renault Estafette vans that were announced last year? Edit: apparently not from what I've heard from other sources.
  15. It's hard to say...some threads seem to take a while to open and others open immediately and scrolling seems fast. But I know I'm on a fast computer with a fast internet connection (the download rate here in Ohio is 10 times faster than I have in Phoenix), but I see a lot of variability on the site.
  16. Who knows what the QC/QA processes are like in China for Revell...
  17. Sitting high in the front like that is good for clearing curbs, snow, etc.
  18. I'm pretty sure the 150 was first, then the Bel Air 2dr sedan, then later the convertible. Moebius came along much later IIRC w/ their vintage stock cars, didn't they? The '08-11 time frame is kind of a murky period of my life for various reasons...
  19. Is there any meaning to Revell kit numbers, though? IIRC the Bel Air 2dr sedan 2n1 came out after the 150... but it doesn't really matter.. Edit: I checked the Revell catalogs...the 2009 catalog shows the '57 150 Black Widow as 'New' and the 2010 Catalog shows the 'California Wheels' Bel Air sedan as 'New'.
  20. Actually, the Mini-Exotics were 1/87th HO scale. You are thinking of the Ultimates, which were 1/43rd kits--'67 Corvette convertible and Shelby 427 Cobra.
  21. Makes sense they would have the Bel Air body...wasn't the 150 2dr sedan out first, then the Bel Air 2dr sedan? That may have been a retool and the only '57 Bel Air 2dr sedan body that exists now..would have to change the body tool to go back to the 150? Just speculating...
  22. Sharp build...love that era of F1 cars. I have this kit, haven't built it yet. Still waiting on the Ebbro 1969 Lotus 49B, I've had one on pre-order w/ HLJ for 2 1/2 years...
  23. They go w/ the fake vents on the front fenders (the Buick-like rectangles). I can't tell from the photos, but do they cover a seam? Some cars of that era had visible seams where the tulip panel joined to the rear quarters...
  24. Like a very accurate 1/24th scale Mustang.
  25. stalemates is a fun site...I've been adding my stash in there...there are many older kits they don't have listed or pics of, when I eventually get my stash all in one place I hope to contribute some box art photos and listings there.
