  1. Could be..I've seen pics of hardtops without them....maybe it's documented in some obscure Comet reference.
  2. As it says on their site, they ship from Canada to a remailer in the US...it often takes 2-3 weeks to get through customs. The remailer then sends to US addresses. I've discussed this with Jeremy (Clearly Scale proprietor) and he uses the remailer as it is considerably cheaper than direct shipments from Canada to US buyers. http://www.clearlyscale.com/product/shipping-of-clearly-scale-products-please-read
  3. Chrome trim. Apparently something Cyclone specific, googling turned up pics of regular '65 Comets without them.
  4. I've ordered from them many times, remember they are in Canada, and to the US shipments are usually 8-10 weeks....did you read their information on International Shipping on their site? http://www.clearlyscale.com/product/shipping-of-clearly-scale-products-please-read
  5. The box art shows a custom half top and what looks like a stock convertible up top. http://www.modelroundup.com/1950-Ford-Convertible-1-25-fs-p/amt-r2-929.htm
  6. It's not out yet, but will be on the Plamoz website when it is. And it's a conversion for the '15-16 Hellcat. ('15 was the year of the MCE and the introduction of the Hellcat). www.plamoz.com
  7. Flew into Cleveland last night, surprisingly mild in the 50s today....supposed to be snowy before next weekend though.
  8. Similar anecdotes here..I have a Chevy dealer (Courtesy Chevrolet) around the corner from me in Phoenix, its about the only place I've seen the 6th gen Camaros...see a lot more Challengers around Phoenix/Scottsdale, then 15+ Mustangs, and 6th gen Camaros a distant 3rd... Anyway, looking forward to this kit.
  9. Maybe the builder was blind or mentally ill...it's a pretty disgusting mess.
  10. They don't have any on eBay at this moment, but if you follow the seller I'm sure they will list some sooner or later. http://www.ebay.com/usr/gluhead?_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2754
  11. I've been on eBay as a buyer for 20 years, and only maybe 3 transactions out of thousands were unsatisfactory... one was a seller that didn't combine shipping, one was a seller that didn't actually have the product they were selling, and one where an old kit was no where near as complete as the description.
  12. Yes, I meant UK for backlight...darn phone, typo... I don't think 'backlight' is common in the US outside of auto design studios or the literature (such as in Robert Cumberford's 'By Design' critiques in Automobile magazine).
  13. Saw a gorgeous red w/ gold rockers and gold wheels Lamborghini Miura SV in traffic...first I've ever seen that I can recall...what a sound.
  14. US rear window = UK backlight US curbside = UK kerbside US aluminum = UK aluminium
  15. Auction week is here, saw some oldies that may or may not be related...saw a clean yellow '65 Coronet ht in a motel parking lot in downtown Scottsdale, a black late 50s Rolls Royce Phantom, and a yellow early (chrome bumper) Pantera...
  16. They are over 25 years old now, so they are eligible for import. I've seen a few interesting late 80s-early 90s JDM cars around over the last year...
  17. could be. I had no idea who it was.
  18. One that sticks in my mind...not a warning label, but....my folks were long time loyal Sears customers, and in the 80s there was a Sears anniversary token they received (googled it--1986 Centennial Anniversary token)---looks like a gold coin--and around the edge it said 'contains authentic material'...what a generic statement, stuck with me the last 30 years.
  19. Ah hah...I was only searching 'AMT 49 Ford' also. If I get one, I'll probably go w/ my usual vendors, Tower Hobbies or Model Roundup.
  20. There don't seem to be any of the new issue on eBay currently...but it's available elsewhere.
  21. Model Roundup and Tower Hobbies list it as in stock also.
  22. The trim on that kit is correct for an SS 396 Z16...not the same as a regular SS. Only 201 Z16 versions were built. http://www.curbsideclassic.com/blog/1965-chevelle-ss396-z16-201-built-and-a-common-396-engine-misunderstanding-resolved/
  23. The 2006 RC2 MPC reissue had a '69 on the box, but the AMT '66 HUG kit was in the box..there is one on eBay now.
  24. And for some issues, the AMT '69 still had the '68 window glass w/ the molded in vent windows (the body didn't have the frames).
