  1. Saw several sharp premium 4drs--a black Aston Martin Rapide in my bank parking lot, a brown 2nd gen Merc CLS (my favorite current MB, a blue BMW M6 Gran Coupe, and the now-common Tesla S (in red). For an obscure 2dr, I saw Chrysler TC by Maserati in white w/ a red front bumper. Convertible season is here--saw a dark gray w/ black stripes late model Shelby GT500 convertible and a silver Camaro ZL1, both top down. As far as oldies, I got to ride in a coworkers' neat '70 blue Land Cruiser FJ40 today, w/ the top off...rode in his clean white '82 FJ60 4dr last week...also saw a clean white FJ55 4dr w/ a blue '70s California plate last night...those old Land Cruisers are really neat.
  2. Mmmm..R32 Skylines...I've only seen two of those in my life. A gray one in the UK and a white one in Colorado about 10 years ago.
  3. I like the long rear quarter windows on the blue Hudson sedan...is that the same roofline the earlier Brougham model used? The step down Hudsons always look to me like they had chopped tops even when stock...
  4. I've seen that the S&H Torino, 14 Corvettes, and 14 Mustang GT pre paint have all been pushed back to 1st quarter 2015. The yellow '15 Mustang snap is already out..
  5. Suburban is what Plymouth named their full size wagons from the '50s into the '70s, isn't it?
  6. Part of the desert flora and fauna now...wonder how long it's been there...30+ years?
  7. I was born in '70, my brother in '49 and my sister in '57...up until my sister was born, my folks had one car at a time. In '57, my Dad bought a Ford wagon for the family car and traded a '54 Ford fordor on a '58 Mercury Monterey 4dr for himself. By the time I was born in '70, my brother was off at college w/ a '66 Mustang, and my Mom's car was a '67 Cougar, my Dad had a '69 Mustang and '69 Marquis...as I grew up, my folks always had 2-3 newer cars and 2-3 older cars and an RV.
  8. No matter how mediocre or forgettable a particular car was, they will always have a few fans, long after the majority of the automotive world has moved on and forgotten it.
  9. Hmm..hard to see anything in there..just see a lot of gray framing..
  10. Buses have limited routes. Autonomous cars could potentially go anywhere and are personal.
  11. All the cars and SUVs I've had have had gas caps on rear quarter panels behind doors. A couple of them have had odd locations for the gas door release, though..the Fox Mustangs had a button in the glove box.
  12. Those are neat...got a few from childhood and a few more I've found later..I have the Jag, Mustang, a Grand Prix and a '72 Chevy pickup w/ camper. Would love to see them reissued.
  13. He could add a periscope to see over the blowers..
  14. The kind of 'tuner' cars I like are Alpina, AC Schnitzer or Racing Dynamics BMWs, Brabus Benzes, various Saleen or Callaway cars..professionally built w/ performance mods.... Would love to see some modern ones of this sort available in scale.
  15. Went to PetSmart to buy dog food and supplies, as I do every Saturday. Valley Dog Rescue was there doing an adoption event, this 1yr old Australian Terrier mix followed me home for a 2 week trail run. 6 terriers at home now, more the merrier..
  16. That's nice. I have a number of their 1/64th diecast, didn't realize they were doing 1/24th.
  17. Today was eclectic 70s import coupe day...saw a sharp yellow Fiat X1/9, a clean red Alfa Romeo GTV, a well worn faded red Lancia Beta (I see this one a few times a year), and a derelict-but-running gray/black Datsun 200SX,,,
  18. Maybe it was a homemade convertible at one time, or someone cut it off to use on a restoration..
  19. Location, location, location as they say in real estate. I work in Scottsdale and took a scenic route through Paradise Valley to go home...
  20. A gray Rolls Royce Phantom,4 Tesla Ses (dark red, gray, white, and black), and a rather rare Mercedes-Benz SL AMG Black Series in white.
  21. That's funny...yes, both are electric cars..but there is a big price and market niche difference--the Leaf is a cheap econobox, the Tesla is a luxury performance sedan..
  22. Yes, the D version is AWD, w two motors--for front and rear wheels. Sounds pretty cool.
  23. Looks like rear of a 4dr Hudson on that last one. I wonder whAt the story behind that one is. A locomotive fan, maybe?
  24. I remember back around 2001 when very tiny phones esp those from Nokia were all the rage. But they were 'dumb' phones compared to today's 'smart' phones. I like the size of my iPhone 5S. Don't need a huge phone, I'll use my tablet or laptop if I want a bigger screen....
  25. I remember VCRs. Haven't used one in years. Have DVD and BluRay, have used Netflix for 14+ years but am streaming more often now. Kind of an Anti Luddite, I guess. Got my first cell phone 18 years ago, CDs 28 years ago, first computer 30 years ago, first laptop 19 years ago. I love technology and gadgets, though not as early of an adopter as many of my tech industry peers....got into streaming later, wtc
