  1. Or modified tooling from the '68 Firebird kit..
  2. That will be nice..that '67 Camaro looks like it's worth looking forward to also.
  3. I would assume the door panels and seat patterns would differ..I don't have an AMT '68 Chevelle annual to compare. The Modelhaus does have the '68 dash available, separately and as part of their '68 conversion kit, which includes front and rear bumpers, taillights, and dash. For a chassis, I think some have used the more detailed AMT/MPC '69 Cutlass chassis under the AMT '69 Chevelles before...
  4. Depends. Different prices from different sources. Hobby Link Japan has it for preorder for approx. $54, sources in Hong Kong and mainland China have for less. I ordered one from China's biggest e-tailer for under $30.
  5. I liked it... interesting characters and settings, good actors, Coen Brothers quirkiness...will be watching again next week...
  6. Nice to see some modified late model Mustangs at shows...shows that are all old vehicles get boring. There is a lot more to the car hobby than just hot rods and customs..
  7. So did I..I watched the new 'Fargo' series..
  8. That turned out nice...didn't know there ever was a Mk I Capri kitted....the kits I've seen all seem to be the Mark II (IIRC, AMT and Monogram kitted them).
  9. Yeah, they definitely have snow in So Cal...I've seen it in the Big Bear area.
  10. Sharp build..like the engine and wheels.
  11. Yeah, you always get fooled...I remember times of eating lunch outside, riding around in a convertible w/ the top down on a sunny Spring day in Denver...then 30-45 inches over the next 3 days...
  12. I assume this is an unusual weather pattern for Illinois? This is the normal spring snow pattern in Colorado..every year I lived there, we would have sunny, warm weather then a huge snow in April..but it was a dry snow..
  13. Those RoG Mogs look like neat kits...I've thought about getting one, maybe the blue THW version. I'd love to see them do one of the older ('60s vintage?) ones with the rounded front cab..
  14. Lots of scrolling...they should have separated out the military stuff...'ground' should have been separated into civilian and military.
  15. What's the saying, 'April snow showers bring May flowers' or something like that...I hear they have been getting snow in Colorado and Oklahoma also. In Colorado, spring snows are usually the biggest. Nice cooler weather here in the desert today--only supposed to be 87 today.
  16. I've heard it referred to that way for years...Twitter may have been the first application to publicize it as a hashtag, but it's been called that previously...I also have heard it referred to as the 'sharp' symbol (musical origin, I believe). Another bit of computerese I've long liked is how the exclamation mark (!) is usually referred to as a 'bang' or 'splat' symbol.
  17. Yes, and definitely no carburators--those went away decades ago.
  18. Yeah, and the interior just looks crude and cobbled together..that Dodge truck steering wheel is grubby and out of place.
  19. Lots of ingenuity borne out of necessity to retrofit these cars w/ engines and transmissions etc from different makes..it is pretty amazing to see 50+yr old cars still in regular use.
  20. It's a post to reactivate a stale thread...'bump' it back to the top of the list of recent posts..
  21. Disgusting..I wonder what leads to people building such atrocities...too much alcohol? Drugs? Mental illness? Some things just can't be unseen.
  22. For the older subjects, I would think more of that sort will come from Moebius eventually if the upcoming Fords are successful. From Meng, a current Ram, the new F150, Ford Raptor, Silverado or Sierra would be nice to see if this truck is successful for them.
  23. I used to work with a Jhon. He said his parents thought John or Jon were too mainstream. I have friends that named their 3 kids all names beginning w/ 'Z'-- Zoe, Zach, and Zolton. I used to work with a Richard Head.
  24. The only reason I still have the land line is for the home security system. And also to have a local number (my personal cell is still a Denver area code). I work from home quite a bit and do a lot of conference calls, but those are VOIP using Google Hangouts and Skype...
