  1. Sure...I typically pay about $50 for two new kits at the LHS, so $50 for a double kit (which also includes a trailer) seems reasonable.
  2. TV advertising is a dying form anyway, what with DVRs and streaming...
  3. As long as whomever makes the video dispenses with shaky cam and product placement/shilling.
  4. In the last decade, Model King released one that was a combination of AMT kits--the '79 Ford Bronco, '68 Cougar funny car, and trailer. Though it was a bit strange as the funny car from the late '60s and the Bronco from the late '70s.
  5. You talking about the one w/ twin nostrils like this? I got a resin one years ago, not sure from whom though.
  6. I've read that UPS or Fed Ex is looking at installing 3D printers in their stores...people could bring in files w/ their print jobs or email them to the store. We've been printing out a bunch of things w/ our Makerbot at my office...mostly practical stuff like iPhone cases and Raspberry Pi cases, but also things like toy robots and tchotckes w/ our corporate logo. One guy printed out a Miata model approx. 1/43rd scale, going to paint it to match his 1:1.
  7. That's probably just a mockup of the box art, I assume that if the kit is actually produced it will have different box art. Several recent Round 2 kits have been this way.
  8. I've always taken spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and grammar seriously. Not doing so makes one look uneducated.
  9. Tasteless, fecal modifications. Waste of good cars.
  10. Looks like Maisto is also doing the convertible. Both the coupe and convertible are available in several colors from them.. Not bad for the low price point.
  11. Hard to tell if it's just the photos or not, but the paint seems to have dark areas. Anyway, wonder if Revell will do one...they are so slow, though, it probably won't be out until 2016..
  12. Looks like a neat kit..got it a couple days ago but haven't sat down to closely grok it yet.
  13. IIRC, there were at least 2 distinct kit cars in the show..one that had a retrimmed but recognizable Corvette interior and one that had a dash that more resembled the Ferrari...also, one of them had hidden headlights like the Monogram kit, and one had rectangular headlights behind glass covers, IIRC.
  14. Love the style, if done tastefully and the wheels aren't insanely huge and the paint isn't overdone (no flame paint jobs, for instance--wrong genre)... Certain cars and wheels work better w/ the style than others, IMO.
  15. I have a good LHS (not a chain store) about 25 min from home and 10 min from my office, good selection of paint and supplies...I buy most of my new kits there or via Model Roundup or HLJ for Japanese kits.
  16. Very nice..I'll definitely need one or two, I think..
  17. Looks like a neat kit of an offbeat subject..don't think I've ever seen a non-diecast model w/ 4 opening doors.
  18. I've been using them for about a decade... they are the best source for Japanese kits, IMO..and they ship pretty quickly for in-stock items (often as fast as 3 days from Japan via Fed Ex) and I like their Private Warehouse service for combining shipments..
  19. I don't think I've ever been to a drive-in..maybe when I was little and don't remember. Never really had one close to places I've lived that I noticed.
  20. Not a fan, I haven't been to one in years..there are a few around, I never found their selection to be that good..plus they are closed Sunday.
  21. Interesting...there is no picture of it on the JF site, curious what their 2dr phantom wagon looks like.
  22. Some say the glass is half full. Some say the glass is half empty. I've been told that my view is that there is no glass.
  23. Neat..that car looks virtually identical to the first Mustang my brother had, a '66 GT convertible w/ 289 hipo and a 4spd manual....
  24. I don't know...I have noticed that the eBay vendor of R&R kits (msmiteymouse) is still selling them, but I wonder if they are selling existing stock, since the # of listed items has been dwindling over the last few months (I just recently got the R&R '65 Belvedere wagon and Savoy 2dr sedan from eBay).
