  1. The only downsides to the MCW resin kits I've found is they don't have chrome plated parts like the Modelhaus does and they sometimes arrive a bit warped. But they are quite decent for a low price.
  2. I pretty much always would go in Poor Richards for some pizza after shopping at Compleat...went there all the time when I lived in the Springs from '97-02 and occasionally when I lived in Denver '02-08 and tried to go everytime I was back in town since then. Up in the Denver area, my favorite hobby shop was Colpars in Aurora, though I occasionally went to a place in Westminster and another in Greeley.
  3. Agreed on the Zephyr., Hupmobile, Graham...I'd like to see the '39 Mercury coupe. Also would like to see a '38 Ford..
  4. Nah..anything to do with the Spotlight Hobbies board is a can of worms, best to not get into it..
  5. Yes, it's modified from the stock issue because they added the radio. They probably ran the stock car kits and police kits at the same time and wanted to minimize the # of different trees..
  6. Probably because that modified parts tree is shared w/ the upcoming MK police car issue..
  7. Sad to hear...I remember him from so many roles on tv and in movies..
  8. Picked up my HLJ Fed Ex order...Tamiya Porsche 934 RSR Jaegermiester, Fujimi Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Fujimi BBS wheel set (gray spokes), Ebbro '67 Lotus 49 F1 car, and 2 Fujimi Senna racing karts (the last 2 being late birthday gifts for my sister).
  9. Anyone have pics of a built up one yet?
  10. Not sure how the thread went from Pacers to minivans, but I'm definitely looking forward to the reissue of this kit...love old MPC kits.
  11. Yes and no. It's the first release of this kit w/ a styrene body, but it's based on the tooling of a Revell diecast from maybe 10 years ago. Like how the Jeep Rubicon, '70 Challenger, and '68 Mustang were previously Revell diecasts before being released as styrene kits.
  12. That's 1/25th and works w/ the AMT '36?
  13. Beautiful build..love the subject matter.
  14. Given the price point, I would assume the RB kits are kerbsides.
  15. Sharp..I picked up one of these kits with a similar idea in mind, I have a gluebomb '69 annual I want to kitbash it with..
  16. Didn't know about the hat..I got this kit last month and guess I didn't look it over that closely..
  17. Interesting how there are variations amongst the 3 kits in the T-Tops---wide vs narrow t-bar, different shape at the back edge/C-pillar area, etc..
  18. Not my type of car, but that green Mustang 2+2 beside it looks sweet.
  19. Some Belgian friends of mine are at Goodwood this week, have been posting a ton of pics on Facebook. I have to go eventually, it's on my to-do list. I've been to the UK 5 times, but never in July when the FOS is held.
  20. Sharp build...like the clean, stock building style and the color choices.
  21. Interesting..that is a kit I didn't know existed. The only current GT-R kit I have is the Tamiya one.
  22. Sad to hear..that was my favorite when I lived in the Springs...
  23. Pretty cool...would love to have one in 1/24th.
