The only downsides to the MCW resin kits I've found is they don't have chrome plated parts like the Modelhaus does and they sometimes arrive a bit warped. But they are quite decent for a low price.
I pretty much always would go in Poor Richards for some pizza after shopping at Compleat...went there all the time when I lived in the Springs from '97-02 and occasionally when I lived in Denver '02-08 and tried to go everytime I was back in town since then. Up in the Denver area, my favorite hobby shop was Colpars in Aurora, though I occasionally went to a place in Westminster and another in Greeley.
Yes, it's modified from the stock issue because they added the radio. They probably ran the stock car kits and police kits at the same time and wanted to minimize the # of different trees..
Picked up my HLJ Fed Ex order...Tamiya Porsche 934 RSR Jaegermiester, Fujimi Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Fujimi BBS wheel set (gray spokes), Ebbro '67 Lotus 49 F1 car, and 2 Fujimi Senna racing karts (the last 2 being late birthday gifts for my sister).
Yes and no. It's the first release of this kit w/ a styrene body, but it's based on the tooling of a Revell diecast from maybe 10 years ago. Like how the Jeep Rubicon, '70 Challenger, and '68 Mustang were previously Revell diecasts before being released as styrene kits.
Some Belgian friends of mine are at Goodwood this week, have been posting a ton of pics on Facebook. I have to go eventually, it's on my to-do list. I've been to the UK 5 times, but never in July when the FOS is held.
