  1. Yes and no. It's the first release of this kit w/ a styrene body, but it's based on the tooling of a Revell diecast from maybe 10 years ago. Like how the Jeep Rubicon, '70 Challenger, and '68 Mustang were previously Revell diecasts before being released as styrene kits.
  2. That's 1/25th and works w/ the AMT '36?
  3. Beautiful build..love the subject matter.
  4. Given the price point, I would assume the RB kits are kerbsides.
  5. Sharp..I picked up one of these kits with a similar idea in mind, I have a gluebomb '69 annual I want to kitbash it with..
  6. Didn't know about the hat..I got this kit last month and guess I didn't look it over that closely..
  7. Interesting how there are variations amongst the 3 kits in the T-Tops---wide vs narrow t-bar, different shape at the back edge/C-pillar area, etc..
  8. Not my type of car, but that green Mustang 2+2 beside it looks sweet.
  9. Some Belgian friends of mine are at Goodwood this week, have been posting a ton of pics on Facebook. I have to go eventually, it's on my to-do list. I've been to the UK 5 times, but never in July when the FOS is held.
  10. Sharp build...like the clean, stock building style and the color choices.
  11. Interesting..that is a kit I didn't know existed. The only current GT-R kit I have is the Tamiya one.
  12. Sad to hear..that was my favorite when I lived in the Springs...
  13. Pretty cool...would love to have one in 1/24th.
  14. I would assume so, since they show pictures of the engines (follow the links).
  15. Just heard that...I'm bummed. I'm a big fan of the Sopranos..probably my favorite TV show of the last decade.
  16. Popped over to the LHS at lunch and picked up the June Revell new releases--'69 Camaro ZL1, '77 Smokey & The Bandit Firebird T/A, and '99 Expedition Police (plan to kitbash this one w/ the Lightning PU). Edit: Opened them up the check the parts tonight.. The Camaro has a separate bag w/ the steel wheels, wheel backs, and hubcaps. The chrome tree for the RS/SS is included w/ the RS grille and Rally wheels. The Expedition was a surprise--not just new decals--but a lot of new police parts, incl. the wheels, grille, interior parts, antennas, roof light, push bar, etc. The Firebird looks good--a styrene version of the diecast version from about 10 years ago. Never had that one, but heard it was nice. Nice set of snowflake wheels.
  17. Googling 'Revell July 2013' turns up these 85-4024 1/25 Fireball Roberts' 57 Ford 85-4050 1/25 '64 Chevy Impala Foose 85-4087 1/25 '67 Corvette Convertible 2n1 85-7817 1/25 Miss Deal Funny Car SSP
  18. Looking forward to this kit..I have a gluebomb of the Countdown Series issue. Probably will get 3--stock, street machine, and one to convert to a '68.
  19. The original issue of the kit was a 3n1, with the box art shown in the first post. Stock, custom, or NASCAR. The new issue is supposed to bring back optional parts long gone..
  20. Maybe they will do a second issue w/ retooled hood and grille to do the earlier car later...like they did w/ the '75 and '76 Gremlins.
  21. It was there...not there now. (http://www.round2models.com/models/amt). Maybe it's being delayed. There are other previously announced kits that aren't shown there, but given how inconsistent Round 2 is with updating their website, I wouldn't read much into it yet..
  22. Yes..that one had some different wheels and the police parts, but basically the same kit.
  23. I bet it is...wasn't that engine a BBC? IIRC the previous issues didn't have much engine compartment detail either..probably best to glue the hood shut or scrounge up a 6 cyl.
  24. Probably...I have a few of the previous issues in my stash but they are all in storage.
