That 2dr wagon would be neat to see... as far as other bodystyles, there are several nice resin bodies currently available that work w/ the modern Revell tri-fives....'56 sedan delivery, '56 Bel Air 2dr ht, '57 Nomad, '57 150 4dr sedan..

I'd like to make a trip to the NNL East sometime...been to the NNL West a couple times, will be in So Cal next weekend.

Agreed...I don't get the appeal of such junk...as dreadful as that 'freakshow' 1:1 Chrysler/Chevy truck abomination. I guess there is no accounting for taste in the custom car world.

Nice to see an uptop. Hopefully a regular rear bumper will be included also...not a fan of continental kits.

The Mustang LX 5.0 has had a cult following for over 25 years now and never been kitted before (though several resin kits have come and gone). This kit should have interest amongst replica stock, police car, and drag car builders...I just hope Revell has cleaned up some of the issues that were seen w/ the first shots from last year.....

The currently available Revell Chevy van is the ex-Monogram 1/24th scale van, different kit than the 1/25th Revell-origin '70s Custom Van kit.

I'd be interested in seeing what's on the latest release lists for May and June.

The '57 Chevy convertible, '64 Impala Foose and US rebox of the Mini were all announced in last year's 2013 announcements..old news.

As far as old cars, it's less of an issue because there are a lot fewer of them on the road and most are driven very little--weekend toys as opposed to modern daily drivers that rack up the miles. As far as cities and metro areas, pollution is a bigger problem in them than out in the sticks because of the higher population, population density, traffic volume, # of cars on the roads, etc.

And though those narrow side windows may be called 'vent' windows, they usually don't open on modern vehicles..they are just there for practical reasons--on a 4dr they are there to allow the door window to be narrower so it can be lowered down into the door more fully. Though in modern cars w/ A/C it's rare to lower all the windows, at least I rarely put down rear door windows.

Been doing a bit of old-school arcade gaming in my office fun room during downtime lately--we recently added a MultiKong arcade unit w/ 8 pages of classic '80s games and an Asteroids arcade unit.

Speaking of this diecast Diplomat, did Motormax do a Gran Fury version also? Don't think I've seen one...though I don't think there is much difference beyond the grille...

LoL...I would think they were closer to 4000lbs...I remember a lot of those got used and trashed in '80s cop shows like TJ Hooker..someone has a light green Newport around here that I see once in while, in decent shape. Those cars seem pretty scarce in any form.

Nothing wrong w/ well done curbsides, many Japanese kits are curbsides. Doesn't bother me if it's well done, though I usually prefer full detail. But if a curbside is the only choice for a given subject, I'm fine w/ that.

Actually, still a kit, but now it's an assembled model kit.
