  1. Picked up 5 of these so far...one to do stock, one to do off road, and 3 for parts for resin conversions--got a resin crew cab longbed, Blazer/Jimmy and a Suburban recently.
  2. Had to say goodbye to Ginger, who passed at 3:30 am today at age 15 after dealing w/ congestive heart failure for a while. She was the last of our 4 Yorkies, lost Henry less than a month ago. Had her since she was a puppy. This a pic from about 10 years ago. Sweet little dog.
  3. Looking forward to the ‘65 GTO and ‘92 Silverado.
  4. Those are really good looking old trucks..I think I've only seen maybe a half dozen '57-60 Ford pickups in my lifetime..that panel truck would be neat also (maybe a resin caster or 3D crafter will offer one).
  5. They changed it with the reissue, presumably because the AMT pickups have been issued as ‘72s since the 90s.
  6. I was going for brevity, and generalizing. Just like the fogeys do about saying modern vehicles all look the same.
  7. Except today it would be there's a gray one and a white one, and a silver one and a black one... Not a new idea, I'm sure some people said cars all looked the same at other points in time...like the late 30s to late 40s--humpy-lumpys that all looked much the same, or the late 20s-early 30s..
  8. Some GEO products were Suzuki (Metro and Tracker), Isuzu (Storm), and Toyota (Prizm).
  9. My guesses: Brand new: '21-22 Challenger Hellcat to go w/ the '21 Charger clone: MPC '71 Dodge Demon
  10. Such it is...vehicles are only going to get heavier as EVs become more widespread... can't go back in time. Reality keeps moving into the future.
  11. I didn’t say anything about Camaros. Just commenting about where the NUMMI plant is, which came up because of mention of GM’s efforts with Toyota-based models (Nova and Vibe). Maybe Espo was conflating NUMMI with Van Nuys.
  12. The NUMMI plant is in Fremont, in the SF East Bay Area. It is now owned by Tesla.
  13. Yes, longitudinal.. very smooth. WK2 Grand Cherokee..very widely used transmission--also used in the Chrysler 300, Challenger, Charger, Durango, various Audis, BMWs, Rolls Royce, Land Rover, Jaguar etc.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZF_8HP_transmission
  14. That was also over 50 years ago...cars were much less densely packed with content than today. Today we have larger, heavier wheels and tires, safety equipment, vastly more electronics, etc. I think my '67 Cougar, '69 Mustang and '87 Mustang GT are all in the 3200-3300lb range w/ V8s, but again, simple cars compared to today. I think my late model Jeep w/ the 3.6 V6 and ZF 8spd auto and AWD is about 4950lbs, which is reasonable for a 2 row midsize SUV.
  15. Some sweet cars there...I read the subject line of the thread as 'FIRST SNOW OF THE SEASON' and was confused... not enough caffeine today I guess.
  16. No, ZF 9 spd auto according to the Dodge website.
  17. 3362 lbs is what I’ve seen. This is a compact.
  18. As with any modern vehicle, I wouldn't have one out of warranty. It's a mainstream lease appliance.
  19. Ah, I don't think I have that release.
  20. Can't recall if the El Camino w/ slide-in camper has been available in decades..the bed topper/shell has been available, but I don't recall seeing the camper version in my era (the last 45 years).
  21. I doubt if many prospective new car shoppers that would be looking at the new Hornet would be aware of the AMC Hornet, let alone the Hudson Hornet..long time ago..
  22. I would like both of those. But how about something really weird and obscure that would break the internet... like a '61 Valiant
  23. Yeah, I've got two of each of both annuals (all built or to be restored) and 2 resin and 1 3d printed '67s. but could always use more...
  24. I've been happy w/ what they have done in the last year or so w/ the Chevy II wagon, '66 Mustang 2+2. '65 and 68 GTO, '68 Coronet...all very appealing. GIve me a new '67 or '68 Cougar kit and I'd be very content...
  25. The people involved in that IMC effort died, I believe.
