Got the AMT Avanti reissue, a Missing Link Resin '71 Maverick Grabber and a variety of parts from Missing Link last week.

Very sharp...I love the look of those early '70s Mopar drag cars.

It will be nice to have the '69 Hurst Olds out again..I built it when it first came out back in the day. Nice kit. I'm looking forward to the Vantom Ford van, never had one of AMT's Ford vans (I have the MPC 4x4 ones). I'd like to do a stock one, custom one, and a beater work van.. Interesting that Tower is listing a '75 Gremlin....I wonder if this is a missprint and a reissue of the recent '76 Gremlin reissue but in a normal sized box, or has Round2 backdated it to a '75 (some front end differences). As far speculation about old kits that may or may not resurface, I do wonder if any of the Craftsman/Jr Craftsman kit tooling still exists...the only one that's been reissued since I've been in the game is the '64 Comet IIRC..

The 429 from the '69 Galaxie works well....I have a 1/2 dozen of these from the last issue and the HH issue, probably get another...love those late '60s early '70s big Fords.

Work, life, other interests competing for time. I'm good at starting projects, not so good at finishing them.

Yeah... I'm on my second Android phone..just replaced my old Motorola Droid with a Motorola Razr Maxx. I have other Apple products (iPod, Mac Book Pro) but I like Android phones. Though I will be getting a iPhone soon as a work phone.

December is what some vendors are listing it as, so probably January?

I don't have an iPhone, but have a Mac Book Pro...I'd like an OSX, Windows, or Android version to play with...

I have no carpeting (wood and tile) and can usually find a dropped part, if I'm fast enough that I get before a doggy hoovers it up...

I bought several resin cowl hoods a few years ago from PSF Hobbies on eBay, not sure if they are still in business, mostly Chevy items. I've thought of making a couple for myself, using the extra cowl hoods from the Revell '69 Nova...I'd specifically like to make one for an MPC '76 Monza and one for an MPC '79 Nova, which I haven't seen in resin.

That would be nice...mine was almost $600 this month, running pretty much non stop..but in the few cool (under 100F) months, it's only $150 a month or so..

I built that one as a kid...IIRC, it only had the stock wheelcovers. I don't have the later Presige or Millenium Series reissues, so I don't know about them.

Nope..that's the AMT 1:16th scale kit.

IIRC, the R-M C4s were all 1:24th scale tools.

The ones I get from Japan come via a Fed Ex plane and get here in about 4 days door to door..can't beat that for delivery..

I'm not familiar w/ that Monogram '55 ht/conv kit...did that kit evolve into the 'Badman' drag car kit?

It is odd..since other Chevy convertibles of that era have been kitted ('55, 59, 60, 61, etc). I like convertible kits, esp. since they show off the interior well in the finished kit..

Sharp build... one thing I've always wondered about this kit--the box art shows a '73-75 style grille, but the one I have (and the red built up pictured here) has a '76-77 style grille. Did AMT change the grille during the kit run?

Looks like the reissue in the vintage style box art is out now..(my favorite online vendor has it marked 'Just Arrived').

I used to take Ambien but I've got stronger stuff now (Trazadone). Been dealing with insomnia for 20 years...

I think that's a 40 standard grille. The AMT kit is a DeLuxe, different grille.
