  1. Johan made one back in '69. Was reissued into the '80s. They appear on ebay occasionally.
  2. The speed parts it would have had are probably the same ones that are in the drag versions of the '64 Dodge...it's easy enough to kitbash the Belvedere ht w/ the Dodge to get the parts to do one, plus aftermarket decals. Given how stale Lindberg seems to be these days, I'm not expecting it to be released..
  3. Sharp build. Like the color scheme and wheels.
  4. Yeah, they are definitely symbolic of an era...as far as '70s disco-era cars, the ones I particularly like are the huge 2drs...the Lincoln Mk IVs and Mk Vs, Thunderbirds, Caddy Eldos and Coupe de Villes, the Rivieras and Toronados, Electras, Grand Marquis, etc....something particularly amusing about 5000lb, 18-19 ft long 2drs w/ huge V8s w/ limited power..
  5. Interesting...read the issue, but didn't notice the car on the cover wasn't inside.
  6. I've seen a few Leafs (Leaves?) around here over the last year, along w/ the Mitsubishi i...
  7. By the time I was in high school ('84-88), it seems most of the oddball '70s cars had dissapeared...don't recall ever seeing a Pacer, Gremlin, Pinto, etc at my school....the 3rd gen F-bodies, Fox Mustangs, and '80s G-body Montes, Regals, Cutlasses, etc were very common though...
  8. Diecast models always have plastic parts, so all of them would fit in a diecast category....
  9. Speaking of FWD race cars, the Chevy Cruze has won the WTCC championship the last three years..
  10. Cool..a partially assembled 1:1 scale model..I like the separate doors and fenders...
  11. No..KERS is used on F1 cars..
  12. Interesting about the FWD drag cars..but not sure how they relate to hybrid race cars (which the thread was about)?

    1932 B400

Very sharp build. I have one of the JF B400 bodies...not sure how I want to build it, whether to do a street rod using a Revell 32 or stock using an AMT '32 Vicky..
  14. Remember, from other threads, Andy probably thinks the earth is flat and that it's still 1968.. And it's a hybrid, so it has a gasoline engine in addition to the electric motor... it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't have some sort of KERS system utilizing the electric motor...
  15. That's pretty cool...would be interesting to see a series w/ Prius, Leaf, i, and Volt race cars..
  16. The key distinction---LT = V6, SS = V8. RS is a trim level that can be applied to either model.
  17. Don't think there is any difference between the SS and RS bumper..according to the GM site, the RS package adds 20 inch aluminum-colored wheels, body color roof ditch molding, HID headlights and body-color shark fin antenna, and a badge.. the box art picture is of a 1:1 LT/RS instead of an SS..
  18. Nice...never seen that kit. Love racing cars of that era.
  19. Beautiful car...never knew that existed.
  20. I'm still a Steelers fan, though it's been 30+ years since I lived in the area. And a Broncos fan from 12 years in Colorado.
  21. I saw that one on Bones! Yellow. neat to see a Gremmy on TV.
  22. I'm optimistic for Tebow next season..he's young, needs time to grow and improve...it's been tough since Elway retired, every QB since then has been dissapointing..
  23. Broncos fan here...game not going well...but I like Brady also, remember him when he played at the U of M...
  24. The 'Resto Rods' series was a weak effort from RC2 to cash in on the Pro Touring trend, their answer to Revell's 'California Wheels' and 'Motor City Muscle' series...their 'Rides' series of reissues were just as bad, reissues w/ poorly tooled, cheesy new parts, IMO..
  25. It's been a while since I looked at one, but IIRC all the Resto Rods had the same marginal, generic optional engine..
