I'd still like to see Revell tool up (even a curbside) Nomad version of their modern-tool '57, or how about a Safari?

Well, the guys stuck in past want everything to remain as it was in 1960 or 1970 or whatever their high point in time was...same with a lot of things, not just NASCAR. NASCAR like any another motorsport, needs to evolve but it's evolutionary pace is quite slow.. I went to the two races here in Phoenix last year, watched many of the races on TV, it's fun...I'm more of an Indy Car, F1, and road racing fan, but I've enjoyed NASCAR in recent years after not paying attention for a long time.. For a 'stock' car series, I'd love to see a US version of the V8 Supercars series...alas, it would be only Dodge and Chrysler....maybe Cadillac, since Ford and Chevy only have FWD generic sedans these days...

Odd to see someone trying to sell models on Craigslist..seems like eBay would be more appropriate. (though selling a large collection piece by piece on ebay takes a lot of work and time)...and why so many of each item...hoarding? It's not like those construction items really lend themselves to multiple variations or customizing...

For a supercar price-no-object my choice would be fairly down to earth--an '05-06 Ford GT. For a supercar I can afford now, I'd go for a '90s Acura NSX. Never heard of that Saleen SR..pretty ugly, IMO. As far as Mustangs, the '13 GT500 looks pretty interesting, but I'd rather have the Boss 302 Laguna Seca...saw several of each up close yesterday ('12s and '13s). For all out impractical fun, I'd really like to have an Ariel Atom.

I suspect we will see more 'green' supercars, esp. those from the EU. I wouldn't expect a lot of escalation of horsepower or top speed..the Veyron is a high-water mark...I expect to see wider use of lightweight materials and smaller engines..and hybrid engines. Porsche has hybrid race cars, street versions are in the works.. If I were in the market for an exotic, handling prowess would trump top speed, acceleration or cartoonish styling or me...

It's been a long time since there was a new-tool Enthusiast series Fujimi..maybe 20 years or more? Agreed on the Miura..that subject definitely was worth a full detail version..

IIRC, the previous round of Fujimi Lambos from 5-7 years ago or so (Murcielago, Gallardo) were also curbsides...Fujimi kits normally always are curbsides, except for reissues of the vintage Enthusiast series kits..

I check Revell's website...http://www.revell.com/new.html. They are showing the January new releases, which usually come out at the end of the month or the first week of the following month....

Looks like the kit has the '71-73 style dash. That part was never updated for the A-Team version IIRC. Now the Revell kit that is coming soon has the '74 dash, I've heard (never had one of the Revell kits).

Minor trim differences...grille, taillights, side marker lights, hood scoops, etc. The AMT '68 is easy to find.

As far as lurkers, there seem to be a couple different types of personalities amongst lurkers...the ones who just don't have anything to say and are absorbing information, and the genuine sociopaths/psychopaths..though the second type on here are probably amongst the more vocal, high post count posters..

Johan made one back in '69. Was reissued into the '80s. They appear on ebay occasionally.

The speed parts it would have had are probably the same ones that are in the drag versions of the '64 Dodge...it's easy enough to kitbash the Belvedere ht w/ the Dodge to get the parts to do one, plus aftermarket decals. Given how stale Lindberg seems to be these days, I'm not expecting it to be released..

Yeah, they are definitely symbolic of an era...as far as '70s disco-era cars, the ones I particularly like are the huge 2drs...the Lincoln Mk IVs and Mk Vs, Thunderbirds, Caddy Eldos and Coupe de Villes, the Rivieras and Toronados, Electras, Grand Marquis, etc....something particularly amusing about 5000lb, 18-19 ft long 2drs w/ huge V8s w/ limited power..

By the time I was in high school ('84-88), it seems most of the oddball '70s cars had dissapeared...don't recall ever seeing a Pacer, Gremlin, Pinto, etc at my school....the 3rd gen F-bodies, Fox Mustangs, and '80s G-body Montes, Regals, Cutlasses, etc were very common though...

Diecast models always have plastic parts, so all of them would fit in a diecast category....

Speaking of FWD race cars, the Chevy Cruze has won the WTCC championship the last three years..
