Perhaps. Maybe they will do a 2nd full detail version w/ the engine like they did with the ‘63 Nova wagon.

First post in the thread about the '64 Olds Cutlass convertible.

What did you see on the road today?

I figured 14 or 15, didn’t look it up but most 60s American cars had wheels of those sizes. -

Might be time for new glasses? That Corolla is from the 90s… -

The large wheels are a giveaway that it’s a replica. The real ones in the 60s had maybe 14-inch wheels -
A bunch of new releases became available for preorder at various vendors today (Model Roundup, Hobby Search, etc). AMT '66 Mustang 2+2--March, AMT '68 GTO --March, MPC '81 Chevy pickup--March, AMT '63 Corvette conv--March, AMT '62 Impala convertible--April...lots of good stuff due next month (incl. the previously listed MPC '68 Coronet R/T convertible) ..though I'd assume there may be delays..

I assume it is coming in the future. Haven't seen it for preorder anywhere, so not anytime soon.

I've had no problem getting the items I'm interested in, the key is to pre-order them....

Those would be nice. I seem to recall someone saying that Salvinos was planning over time to make kits of everything RP drove. We will will see. The ‘79 and 80 style Impala/Caprice race cars would be be neat to see. I have the ERTL diecast ‘80 Caprice stock cars from back in the day.

Going from learning to drive in high school in S. Florida to college in NE Ohio was eye opening for winter driving (I'd spent childhood in Ohio but hadn't driven in the winter there until I was 18). But I did 6 winters (college and grad school) in NE Ohio w/ an '86 Mustang w/ snow tires and got around pretty well. Then lived in Michigan 3 years and Colorado 12 years always with an SUV for winter...then 8 winters in Arizona, and the last 6 winters back here in NE Ohio with an SUV. One of the scarier driving experiences in winter was getting caught out unexpected in the wrong car w/ the wrong tires for the weather...when I lived in Colorado Springs, I went to Denver often on the weekends, and did have my 4x4 Grand Cherokee along w/ my '87 Mustang GT. One 55 degree, sunny late October day in 2000 or so I drove the Mustang up to Denver for the day, then headed home after dark...as I approached Monument Hill (7300 ft elevation) on I-25, the temps dropped into the 30s and it started snowing...heavily. I was on summer Firestone Firehawk tires, not particularly grippy for winter driving..I slowed down and crept along about 30 or so in the right lane, made it over the pass and dropped down towards Colorado Springs, no snow and clear at the lower (6000 ft) elevation....a bit of white knuckle driving for 15 min or so...after that, I paid very close attention to the forecasts for my Colorado trips...

Ok, so ....and that 'Street pickup' is a definitely a '77-78, since it has the 3 row of rectangles grille, rather than the '76 which had 4 rows of rectangles. So Revell didn’t have box art ready, so they lazily used a stock image of a truck that looks nothing like the actual model. Revell being Revell…

This Monogram-origin kit is a '76, though. Maybe what is coming is just a re-release of this kit (and the photo of fleet side is obviously wrong). Do we really know *what* kit the upcoming release actually *is*? I don't see anything listed about scale (the Monogram-origin one is 1/24th).

I wonder if the 'one other kit' that used that same chassis was the Edsel...

Yeah, I remember in the 70s my Dad routinely towed a trailer (hauling furniture, etc) on his '67 Cougar (289 V8)..he later towed that same trailer in the 80s w/ his '85 Town Car and '84 Escort diesel to haul sheetrock, bags of concrete, etc. He later towed it with a Ranger. I couldn't imagine using a car today to tow a trailer.. I'd tow w/ my Jeep or a truck, though. Found a pic of the trailer I took last year when cleaning out the barn...it was a homemade item my Dad bought in the 70s, I remember helping him load it as a kid.

I noticed that. Probably didn’t mention it because it was already covered in one of these videos previously.
-
Maybe. I’d just use the chassis and engine from the usual ‘65 GTO that’s been reissued over and over if I want an engine.
-
Yeah, there is nothing to see under the hood of the new Bronco, so I’m fine with it being a curbside.

Lots of good stuff to look forward to this year.

Nice weather today…unusual for it to be 65 and sunny (but windy) in NE Ohio in early February…drove w/ my sunroof open enjoying the fresh air. Went to my local Ace Hardware, they have topsoil, mulch and fertilizer back in stock. Made me happy…a ways to go towards Spring and more winter to come, but something to look forward to.
