  1. I've had no problem getting the items I'm interested in, the key is to pre-order them....
  2. Those would be nice. I seem to recall someone saying that Salvinos was planning over time to make kits of everything RP drove. We will will see. The ‘79 and 80 style Impala/Caprice race cars would be be neat to see. I have the ERTL diecast ‘80 Caprice stock cars from back in the day.
  3. Going from learning to drive in high school in S. Florida to college in NE Ohio was eye opening for winter driving (I'd spent childhood in Ohio but hadn't driven in the winter there until I was 18). But I did 6 winters (college and grad school) in NE Ohio w/ an '86 Mustang w/ snow tires and got around pretty well. Then lived in Michigan 3 years and Colorado 12 years always with an SUV for winter...then 8 winters in Arizona, and the last 6 winters back here in NE Ohio with an SUV. One of the scarier driving experiences in winter was getting caught out unexpected in the wrong car w/ the wrong tires for the weather...when I lived in Colorado Springs, I went to Denver often on the weekends, and did have my 4x4 Grand Cherokee along w/ my '87 Mustang GT. One 55 degree, sunny late October day in 2000 or so I drove the Mustang up to Denver for the day, then headed home after dark...as I approached Monument Hill (7300 ft elevation) on I-25, the temps dropped into the 30s and it started snowing...heavily. I was on summer Firestone Firehawk tires, not particularly grippy for winter driving..I slowed down and crept along about 30 or so in the right lane, made it over the pass and dropped down towards Colorado Springs, no snow and clear at the lower (6000 ft) elevation....a bit of white knuckle driving for 15 min or so...after that, I paid very close attention to the forecasts for my Colorado trips...
  4. Ok, so ....and that 'Street pickup' is a definitely a '77-78, since it has the 3 row of rectangles grille, rather than the '76 which had 4 rows of rectangles. So Revell didn’t have box art ready, so they lazily used a stock image of a truck that looks nothing like the actual model. Revell being Revell…
  5. This Monogram-origin kit is a '76, though. Maybe what is coming is just a re-release of this kit (and the photo of fleet side is obviously wrong). Do we really know *what* kit the upcoming release actually *is*? I don't see anything listed about scale (the Monogram-origin one is 1/24th).
  6. I wonder if the 'one other kit' that used that same chassis was the Edsel...
  7. Daytonas towing Daytonas... these would be easy to build in scale w/ MPC trailers and MPC or Revell Daytonas.
  8. I love the box art of the MPC ‘71 GTX. Have a built up w/ the box in my stash, painted brown.
  9. Yeah, I remember in the 70s my Dad routinely towed a trailer (hauling furniture, etc) on his '67 Cougar (289 V8)..he later towed that same trailer in the 80s w/ his '85 Town Car and '84 Escort diesel to haul sheetrock, bags of concrete, etc. He later towed it with a Ranger. I couldn't imagine using a car today to tow a trailer.. I'd tow w/ my Jeep or a truck, though. Found a pic of the trailer I took last year when cleaning out the barn...it was a homemade item my Dad bought in the 70s, I remember helping him load it as a kid.
  10. It was an odd choice of car to include a trailer with. But who knows, it was 55 years ago.
  11. I noticed that. Probably didn’t mention it because it was already covered in one of these videos previously.
  12. Maybe. I’d just use the chassis and engine from the usual ‘65 GTO that’s been reissued over and over if I want an engine.
  13. Yeah, there is nothing to see under the hood of the new Bronco, so I’m fine with it being a curbside.
  14. Yeah. The one with the blue truck on the top of the box. That’s the 89, and the 90 (white w/ custom parts on top). I noticed autocorrect changed ‘longbeds’ to ‘longbows’..
  15. Lots of good stuff to look forward to this year.
  16. Well, the original '88 longbed box art said only 'Silverado', the '89 and '90 longbeds said 'Silverado C1500', the '90 stepside said 'C1500' as did the SS454...so they are more-or-less consistent..
  17. Nice weather today…unusual for it to be 65 and sunny (but windy) in NE Ohio in early February…drove w/ my sunroof open enjoying the fresh air. Went to my local Ace Hardware, they have topsoil, mulch and fertilizer back in stock. Made me happy…a ways to go towards Spring and more winter to come, but something to look forward to.
  18. I saw an unbuilt original on eBay..priced a bit higher than the recreation will be, though.
  19. I love the loop front bumper of the ‘71/72. Just a really good looking car. Probably my favorite Plymouth B-body.
  20. First pic is Raine (left) and Ginger while I’m watching TV. Second is Beardsley. Third is Henry and Ginger. Henry and Ginger are senior Yorkies, he’s 16 going on 17 and Ginger is 14 going on 15. Had her since she was a puppy. Both are frail and have numerous health issues. Raine (reddish Australian terrier mix) and Beardsley (gray Chi-terrier mix) were a bonded pair adopted in Phoenix in 2014. They are 9 and 10 now. We had 6 dogs when moved back to Ohio in 2017, two senior Yorkies have passed since then.
  21. It’s been a while since the ‘80 was last out. Probably close to 20 years ago or more, and it was a limited release then, IIRC.
  22. Whomever made the box mock-up probably marked it as 1/24th for consistency since the other kits in the RoG Bond series are 1/24th.
  23. Love those ‘71/72 Plymouths. Would definitely to see them reissued. Built the yellow ‘71 RR reissue back in ‘88, found a few more of those and a couple ‘71 RR annuals, along w/ the ‘71 GTX and ‘72 RR about 20 years ago on eBay.
  24. Not since the mid 70s. The video shows the hood molded in, and he mentions early in the video it can be cut out.
