Got a couple R-M reissues in the mail, the '55 Bel Air conv and '59 Caddy conv. Nice to see the Caddy molded in white..I built original issues of these, have ideas for a couple more. Alas, I forgot the Bel Air had only the continental rear kit, no stock rear bumper..I'll have to swap in bumpers from a '55 Bel Air HT kit... Got the AMT '10 Challenger SRT8 and R/T Classic curbside kits yesterday, nice little variations on their '08 and '09 kits. I hope they or Revell will do an '11 SRT 392 eventually.

From what I've read, this new 'IMC' has nothing to do with the old IMC..just coincidentally/confusingly using the same 3 letters.
-
Hmm..they both have 4 wheels and are very aggro and pointy looking, but other than that, don't have anything in common...
-
Yawn..that was just out a few years ago. Hopefully they can come up with a better idea than that.

It sure is an odd looking car...looks like it is from a Gundam show or something. Speaking of supercar kits, I wonder if Fujimi or Revell AG will kit the new Ferrari 599 GTO? I'd like to see that along w/ the Porsche 911 GT2 RS kitted (read a comparison test of those two in the new Automobile magazine last night...I'd love to have a new Porsche kit...something like the GT2 RS, regular 911S, or Boxster Spyder would be great in 1:24th..

'68-72 Vista Cruiser had a 120 inch wheelbase, while the '72 Cutlass 2dr was 112. The regular Cutlass wagon was 116. Also, the '66 Chevelle wagon greenhouse ('64-67 A-body) is very different in shape and detail from the '68-72..the '64-67 wagon greenhouse is squarer, the '68-72 are more rounded.

At a company I worked at briefly a couple years ago, the darn Toyota driving kids stole my red Swingline stapler.

One tiny detail I noticed on the Revell flyer posted elsewhere, the '62 Impala 'California Wheels' variation coming was listed as a '62 Impala SS 2n1. Hmmmm....I assume they will then be tooling up the various SS trim pieces (and maybe a bucket seat interior?) for this release, to differentiate it from the current regular (non-SS) '62 Impala kit. Nice. -
Yah,around the '08 election was when Jarius really lost it, IIRC.

Cool..PHP code. I've done a bit of PHP in the past, though my thing is mostly Java/J2EE and sometimes Ruby.

Too high off the ground to step over the sides into the cockpit.

I think Round 2 also has a '70s AMT van kit and the '70s AMT Gremlin custom coming also...
-
Poor timing also, considering the next gen 1:1 300C is due out for '11...

Revell Kit Announcement at today's Hobby Show
Rob Hall replied to tim boyd's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Yeah, it's about time...they will probably get it out a year from now as the 2012's are coming out.. I wonder if it's a 2n1, those ground effects and front air dam aren't stock SS items. -
Came home from a long weekend in Ohio and found a Fujimi Porsche 917k (#20 Gulf colors, 1970 LeMans) waiting for me from Hong Kong.

Agreed on the Boss 302...that would make a great kit! -

Speaking of a stock '48 coupe, I picked up one of the old Testors/IMC multi-piece body kits on eBay last year..want to build it stock eventually..maybe kitbash w/ a Revell '48 convertible. -

Definitely! A phaeton, Victoria, sedan delivery, or the funky convertible w/ the side rails (C-600?) would be great.. Agreed on the Bel Air convertible. Or a '57 Nomad. -

Looking forward....it will be interesting to see what Revell announces for the 1st half of next year...at the iHobby Expo or New York Toy Show, I assume? I'm hoping for a '10/11 Camaro SS (the concept kits are nice, but I'd like the see the production version kitted), an '11 Dodge Charger, and a new Mustang variation (maybe a Shelby GT500 or '11 5.0 GT). Maybe also a variation of the '62 Impala? I also wouldn't be surprised to see another '32 Ford or Tri-Chevy variation.. -

Revell has a nice variety of reissues and new tools coming that should appeal to a wide variety of modelers. The Black Widow and '48 Ford don't appeal to me, but I'm sure they will find many fans. I'm looking forward to the '10 Mustang, some of the reissues, and the Midget race cars (something completely different for me). I just got the '72 Cutlass Supreme conv, a nice follow on kit to the Hurst/Olds convertible. I'm also looking forward to the new Revell of Germany kits--the Ferrari 458 Italia, Merc SLS, and the new F1 car kits. -
Looking good...I have one of those unbuilt to build eventually...those wheels look like the custom ones from the AMT '66 Mercury Park Lane.

The AMT '49 is a neat kit..I built one stock about 20 years ago from the original issue. -

The '10 Mustang looks quite accurate...looking forward to it.
