  1. Yeah, I'd love a F250 farm truck w/ stake bed..
  2. Heh-heh...I have 28 years of SA print mags, switched to digital in 2015.
  3. Interesting read...never paid much attention to that kit back in the day, the box art was awful, IMO. So Testors maybe contracted to a 1/3 party to tool it up? Looks like it had some interesting parts.
  4. The era of print is dead. Too bad it's not continuing in digital form...I've been subscribing to SA digitally for a few years now, guess my subscription will be replaced w/ FSM digitally.
  5. So this is supposed to represent an FIA 289 Cobra from around 1965? 289 w/ flared fender body.. https://www.shelby.com/en-us/Vehicles/FIA-289-Cobra
  6. I have heard of people using the JoHan ‘68 Fury, but those aren’t easy to find. I’m thinking of using an MPC ‘77 Monaco, the chassis and interior tub fit, will need to lengthen the wheelbase a bit by moving back the rear axle...
  7. The Mopars are quite nice. The caster (Robert Burns) posts on here occasionally. The Impala and Cadillac (from A&J Resins) need a bit of cleanup. The Cadillac will work w/ the Revell Custom Coupe de Ville.
  8. I have the ‘70 Polara 4dr also. They all come with bumpers/grilles, lenses for lights, door handles. No interiors or chassis.
  9. Some resin bodies I got over the last month. From ‘Too Many Projects’—a ‘72 Plymouth Fury 4 dr and a ‘72 Dodge Polara/Monaco 2dr ht. And from ‘A&J Resins’ a ‘68 Impala 2dr Custom Coupe (incl hidden headlight grille) and a ‘90-92 Cadillac Brougham 4dr.
  10. The transmission was slipping on mine, I was getting ready to move to Ohio, needed something I could trust to drive from Phoenix to Cleveland. After almost 17 years and 170k miles, I was ready for something new. Been very happy w/ my '14 WK2 GC, though I probably won't keep it that long..maybe 8-10 years, until 100k miles. With all the electronics on the newer ones, I don't want to deal with old vehicle headaches as it ages.
  11. I do get my dogs out quite a bit in my big fenced back yard..I don't walk them around my neighborhood, too many big dogs and careless people that let dogs run loose. Lazy Sunday chillin' with the furs..
  12. My old WJ GC kept passing the emissions tests in AZ, though by 2015 the air bag light would come on with left turns (worn clockspring), power windows and locks usually didn't work, etc. But it still had fairly cold A/C which was what really counted in AZ. I traded it in April '17 with 170k miles, later found out it was sold at a salvage auction 6 months later.
  13. In some states like Pennsylvania, perhaps. Not here..here it's just about the check engine light and any emission related codes. They might note if you have bald tires. But there a lot of rusty, dented vehicles I see out and about on the roads.
  14. It's pretty mild here in Ohio, they do an emissions check every two years for vehicles from 4 to 25 years old---nothing from the pre-OBD II era. My '14 Jeep had no problem last time I went in a year ago, was in and out in under 10 min.
  15. Round 2 has the Hawk stuff, don’t they, through Lindberg. And some IMC stuff also.
  16. Lots of wild speculation going on in this thread. Wherever they announce will probably be sci fi or monster kits, which seem to be more of Atlantis’ core products.
  17. So probably a year or so out from being available..still waiting on the Nunu BMW E46 that was announced a year or so ago..
  18. Those Revell Parts Packs were a dud when they were last reissued, weren’t they?
  19. I do dabble in anime occasionally, and I liked Cowboy Bebop..great music and visuals...had some neat cars also. Initial-D got me into manga and anime, from the Fujimi kits.
  20. I think the options are the motorcycle, figures, guns, etc.
  21. Tamiya made a Sprinter Trueno of this generation, IIRC.... maybe they will reissue it. The US got the 2dr w/ the popup headlights of this generation, called the Corolla SR5 IIRC.
  22. Wonder if he has step ladders or rope ladders to get in/out..
  23. I recently got off eBay a 1/24th diecast that arrived bubble wrapped (loosely) in an eBay mailing bag (like something a t-shirt would be shipped in). Amazingly, it had no damage.
  24. Interesting box art, from the 60s I think. The truck in the background looks like a mid 50s Chevy, which AMT didn’t have a kit of until the 90s...
