Very nice build of a classic kit. Love the engine plumbing/wiring and the interior.

It looks like it might be painted with Tamiya pearl green. 91% alcohol works on Tamiya and Testors lacquers, so if you want to give it one more shot to get to bare resin it's worth a try. I know you said you were just going to prime over it but bare resin is your best starting point if you want to try to get there.

Gotta ask, have you thought about letting Ed pull a mold off this? Since the kit manufacturers haven't seen fit to give us a good chopped 33/34 3 window kit in 1/25 it would be great to have a resin body. And your body is way better than we would end up with from Revell anyway.

my wife was finally allowed to order her 1:1 a couple months ago and it's being built as I type this. I was planning to get this kit before because I just like the Bronco, but now I'll have to get another to replicate hers.

There have been a bunch since then. Not that I mind you saying that since it got to post your beautiful roadster again ?

i did the master for the Sport Coupe. I'm sad it is no longer available as well because I only have one copy. Wish I had another Vicky too. Either would be a welcome addition to the Revell line, but the Vicky would probably be a better seller.

The issue is Revell lengthened the frame through the engine area, so none of the stock hoods available are a drop on. With a little work someone could make it happen though.

Pickup. Roadster pickup, 4 door, Sport Coupe, cabriolet and B-400 are still waiting for their chance in plastic. Kits of the phaeton and Vicky with accurate bodies would be welcome too. Resin has covered all of them to varying degrees of accuracy. My pick would be the pickup, imagine it with the flathead from the Tudor? yes please.

Not that long overdue. I think this was in the catalog up until the Hobbico fiasco 5 years ago. Not saying I wouldn't buy it again if it came back, but I'd rather see the Tudor, which hasn't been seen since it's first issue in 2007. OOr even better, how about a new body style altogether?

The new version of the 60 pickup appears to have a separate cab and bed. Clearly shown by the different heights of the character line on the mockup.

In this instance, I think it would be easier for someone that REALLY wants a scale phone booth to try their hand at scratchbuilding. It's all straight cuts and lines. I would think it could be easily done in the amount of time it would take to actually 3D print the thing (but I could be wrong)

I don't believe the intent is for you to build a full car from the leftovers, although you certainly can. This kit was originally the line of Revell parts packs from the early 60's, providing lots of parts to help you detail out your builds. After awhile to get more money out of the tooling they combined some of the packs together to create a full kit, and they were actually double kits back then. Atlantis is slowly brining each of the kits back, but just as single kits with lots of spare parts. First up was the Mooneyes rail, and then the Yellow Fever Fiat

The understated color pallet of the exterior almost makes it like looking at a black and white photo from back in the day. I like the flag interior tins too. I know how much work you put into this and it's all masked by it's subtlety with all the panels and covers buttoned up. Well done good sir.

That's understandable. But a little food for thought. Your stock Nailhead looks very nice, and is probably more accurate than the ones available in kits since I know your penchant for accuracy. But there are decent stock Nailheads out there in kit form. But not a highly detailed and accurate blown Nailhead that I know of.

Do you think you'll get back to the Nailhead with the SCoT style blower?

The original issues of those stepside pickups in the mid 90's were in that typical tan/grey AMT plastic. Pretty sure they did an "easybuilder" or something version molded in color which would explain the one in maroon plastic. I love this axle, it has such a great drop and the drilled detail adds flair. Even the stock version of those kits (55 and 57, stepside and Cameo) offers a nice drop.

Looks like it may be the axle from the AMT 55 Chevy stepside pickup street machine?

They refused to split up their masters. Someone had to buy the whole thing or nothing.

Very cool build. Aren't those rear tires 2 piece plastic? if so I'm hard pressed to find the seam anywhere. Can you share your process for making them look so good?

That little Bantam is a stunner. Really makes me want to drag out my body and do something with it.
