Another Revell Ford Bronco
Modlbldr replied to modelercarl's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I need to get me some of his parts. I could use the fender flares and the hitch and spare. I got the Olsen Bros half cab when they first came out. Been waiting to gather some more parts before I start. Your build looks good. Later- -
Does anybody know where I might order a 1 oz bottle of HOK Goldmine Pearl paint? A dealer or ?? I went to their site and the smallest I can find is 4 oz. I really dont need that much. Doing a project and I ran out. Really only need about 1/2 oz to finish. Any help would be great. Later-

Looks fantastic! The black and red combo is a great contrast. Too bad it has been hidden so long. Glad you showed it. Later-

"They go for way more that that on eBay!" Gotta love eBay for that. Same theory as the BJ or Mecum Auctions. People see the stupid prices that people pay and think that their garbage is worth a fortune. Sad thing is, there is some justification behind the reasoning. Someone will always step up and pay. Someone with more Dollars than Cents (read: sense) Nice finds Guys, by the way. Love that Tempest. Great job on saving Harry's Jag Scott. Later-

JC- I love what you are doing here and the level of detail you are creating really shows. Just for clarification, what front and rear tires did you finally go with? What kits are they from? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have wanted to build a Trans Am 70 Mustang for ages and yours is getting that plan moved closer to the head of the pack. Later-

My version of Chevys should be 1963 ElCamino!
Modlbldr replied to fordf-100's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Tha looks like it should have been from the factory. So many of these El Camino conversions look too forced, not natural. This one looks very realistic. For the bed shoot a pic straight on from above. I can't see how rough it looks. I would try spraying flat black in mist coats from about a foot or so away. Just light bursts to where the paint lands on the bed in speckles. As you build it up it will eventually look like bedliner. That way any rough surface will look like it is supposed to be that way. Would a 73 Caprice interior and chassis work? I have an interior with bench seats, dash and steering wheel and a rough chassis. Later-

Nice looking work so far. I am working on this same kit but converting it to a chopped hardtop. Making a replica of D'Augostino's Firestar 61 TBird. Got the engine and chassis work done. Working away at the body mods. Looking forward to your progress. Later-
