  1. My favorite has always been Buick. This was because my grandfather had them. Although I did not own many Buicks, the ones I did have were always dead reliable but rusty. I had a 64 LeSabre four door sedan and a 64 LeSabre four door hard top. Both cars were purchased for $50 each. I drove the hard top to California from Wisconsin with no problems even though it had a broken motor mount. Served me well in Cali until I gave it away to a guy who needed a work car after a lady gave me a 66 Mercury Comet Capri with a 289 V8. Next Buick was the 69 Special DeLuxe with 350 V8. Another very reliable car, again bought for about $100 and drove it from Wisconsin (again) to California. I also gave that one away as I had two other cars, a 73 Eldo rag top and a 54 Chevy Bel Air 4 door sedan. An older woman who had a skin condition that caused her hands to tighten up and curl in borrowed my car to go to LA to see family. She came back raving how nice it was to drive for her as I had a thick padded steering wheel in it which made it easy for her to drive. I asked if she truly liked it and she said yes. I said "It's yours" and handed her the pink slip. I even eventually had an Opel GT that I had painted black. Second to those Buicks would be the various AMC cars I've owned...66 Rambler wagon with 287 V8. 76 Hornet X V8, 78 Concord with a six, (hated that one, tried to kill me numerous times) A couple of Gremlins and a 73 Matador four door sedan ex Santa Barbara detective's car with a 401 V8.
  2. 1968/69 Buick Skylark/GS/Special Any cold war era Russian car like the Chaika or ZIL sedans
  3. Indy cars for our NNL, finish the Invader, Do the 1/32nd scale Avanti, my vintage 60 Thunderbird, and the Ranchero when it comes out
  4. I'd buy a Gentleman's Club and turn it into a hobby shop.
  5. I think those were done by MPC. They were also retooled into later versions.
  6. I built the Trumpeter Limo kit. What a strange kit. I swapped out the suspension bits for a 1/20th scale Lindberg S10. Gave it a better look. Also used the V8 from an Otaki T-Bird kit with the Ford letters filed off the valve covers. At the time there were no online pics of the Hong Qi's engine. It does resemble an older Mopar V8 however.
  7. ^^^^^^^^^^^You just won the internet.
  8. Just think of the engine options in the Jeep Wagoneer...Tornado (Willys) single overhead cam inline 6, Buick V8, AMC inline 6, AMC V8 327, 360, 401,
  9. Hmmm. Contribute to tooling and manufacturing costs to make the Uncertain T a reality. Invest with Revell to create a 1968/69 Buick Skylark/GS/Special kit. Invest with Moebius to create tooling for a Studebaker Starlight Coupe and a Golden Hawk that can be converted to a Packard Hawk with additional parts included. Invest with Round 2 to repair existing tooling of kits they want to bring out but are missing key items. Also to redo the 65 Buick Skylark. Invest with Airfix to release a Humber Super Snipe in 1/24th scale. Invest with any of the Japanese model kit makers to create a line of Australian muscle cars...Ford Falcon, Chrysler Valiant Charger, Holden Monaro. These would have to be full detail kits. Purchase all remaining JoHan tooling and supplies from whomever owns it to consolidate and perhaps allow a kit maker to purchase or lease said tooling after all is inventoried, repaired and whatever they might need.
  10. Would the chassis in the EMHAR kit of the late 40s, early 50s Bedford Truck be a better choice?
  11. Sounds like he was a cool guy. Wished he'd been around when I got thrown out of a Goodguy's event for drawing cars. My GF and I were pretty much manhandled out of the venue. The reason was I had not paid the $300 per day vendor fee. I was just pulling my little wagon with art supplies through the grounds. I was getting $30 dollars for a drawing which takes an hour and a half to do on site. I tried to negotiate a percentage but they weren't having any of it. Not denying that Goodguy's is a business and businesses exist to make money, but I could have been treated/handled better. BTW, I do this at all the local car shows in our area and I never have been hassled. In fact, I have been invited to come and do what I do by organizers of shows.
  12. Oh wow!! let me think. MPC's Howmet coupe. Any of the 1/32nd scale offerings of AMT like the Avanti, T-bird, Mustang, 32 Ford, et cetera. Any of the Renwal 66 Revival kits. Ertl's IH transtar kit. There are more that I had but I have to think of them as to exact manufacturer
  13. Nice reviews. I see you are in Northern Wisconsin. What city or town do you live in?
  14. At least one could drive the car. The woman? How does one even get a job looking like that unless in the circus?
  15. Ira Dahm did one in the old Car Model or Model Car Science mag.
  16. The bronze car was not an Avenger. It is a Cheetah
  17. There was a 37 Sharknose resin body but I do not remember who made it.
  18. I'd love to see the Howmet turbine coupe back and maybe the ZZR Spy Car too.
  19. Looking at the parts breakdown, it seems to be right on with the way trucks were in those days. Any small details can be added by the builder.
  20. That is pretty awesome.
  21. Just got Revell's 72 Oldsmobile Pace Car. Methinks ol' Linda is gonna hang out with Elf on the Shelf. He's been looking like he needs a bit of company.
  22. I love that HHR chopped wagon. Of course it appeals to me because I own an HHR Panel. That pic will be my background pic for awhile. I find the Charger two door awesome too. Could it be this old 61 year old is diggin' WWCs product? Don't know, but I sure will watch and see if anything cool comes out of this. Hey Revell, I'd like an HHR kit....(yeah , like that'll happen....LOL)
