Thanks for the clarification, longbox55. The old brain is getting tired and is confused sometimes. I usually verify with a quick Google but I relied on my memory instead.

The engine was indeed copied from the Chevrolet 6, but I believe the chassis copied the Ford type of the day. Remember that Ford had no IFS like Chevy did in 1934. (Top line Chevy used a solid front axle) The pic from Tamiya clearly shows a solid front axle.

There was an AA found in Eastern Russia. It was quite cobbled up with parts from various Russian and European cars. People were wondering if it was indeed an AA. A lot of people said it was an Airflow, others said an Opel Admiral. It did look like some of the body resembled an Airflow. I myself studied the pictures and decided it was an actual AA from Toyoda that someone had modified with other cars to keep it running and in use. It had some kind of truck frame under it, but that body sure held some of the lines of the AA which are slightly different from an Airflow. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/10/1936_Toyota_Model_AA.jpg?download Yes, that's the one.

I don't know about that Nash. Maybe from the cowl back but the front is way different. Now about that first Datsun, Tamiya?

Oooops i was wrong about my post...deleted. -
It's lacqour clear. Different companies use different formulas. 91% Isopropyl alcohol might be your best bet to remove it. Scuf it a little with a scotch brite pad and the other solutions might work.

Memories!! When I spent a year in St. Pete Florida, I worked for a tent evangelist that had a white wagon with a 396 in it. I got to use it for errands. The preacher was probably wondering why he went through a set of tires in one summer. Don't tell the Rev, but I was (cough) racing (cough) it on the street and winning!

Not in Frank Lloyd Wright's case. He had somewhat interesting ideas as to how his Lincoln was to look. -

Aurfalien...Good call on the Cube. A friend of mine has one and he is pleased with his as well. I like the fact that they made it a mirror image when importing to the US and other places driving on the left side of the roads. -
what kind of Pontiac?

Buick has used Chevy's inline six in their cars before the energy crisis. A Special and the Skylark could be had with one in 1969. http://ccco.s3.amazonaws.com/kb_photos/75/608_12_low_res.jpeg -
What did you see on the road today?

That would be something called Plasti-dip. -
Suppose there's an IRS under there?

Kudos to you, Atmobil. You know how the world works. Myself, I don't get into the stance scene but I don't hate it. I admire the work and thinking that goes into the design. One of my friends has a old school Beetle with stanced wheels...kinda looks cool. As with anything, there is a right way and a wrong way to design the parts. Since Lownslow is a machinist and a designer, I'm sure he knows what he's doing under his car. I've seen some crazy unsafe stuff out there regardless of the type of car scene they were in. In my age area, we know the likes of Buterra and Winfield and the Alexander Bros do/did some great and awesome things properly, but if I myself tried to replicate those builds, I'd seriously screw them up. But I can build wiring harnesses like a Boss. -

Same stuff they use to decorate NASCAR racers. They are not painted anymore except for the base color. If you see a Eddie's Window Treatments van, that graphic is a wrap. When it's life as a work van is through, they remove the wrap leaving a plain white (usually) paint job which is better for resale. -

I knew someone that had a real Rolls Bug by Barris. It had quad headlamps. Not sure what the kit was supposed to be. -
Yeah, it's 1/32 scale, but it's still pretty Weird

The only comparison I made was a sagging bumper. Basically a non issue. Just reminiscing. I would not give a pass to things related to safety. The sag was so miniscule that in a model, you would not notice it. I'm an artist and I notice things like this plus I've drawn automotive art since the 80s so I see things and I can see the differences in a model in regards to real cars.
