  1. Air Guitars. LOL. I go by the name Lord Air Gtar in my mobile DJ business. Aside from the usual meaning, an air guitar can also be a prop guitar used at karaoke. I have several non functioning guitars for that purpose.
  2. It came in the mail on Thursday. Great packaging, no damage.
  3. Just got my Trabant wagon kit in the mail. YAY!!!
  4. That was in Aussie dollars too. When that kit in the US costs around $30 to $40 depending on seller, that Aussie price is still way overpriced.
  5. The muscle car is not dead. Just got a heart transplant.
  6. dammit Chuck! That damned bug made me scratch my monitor.
  7. The rear end in the 1:1 pic don't look that big either.
  8. Thanks, Nick.
  9. Don't have the education qualifications. Have most everything else for the second position. I sort of do this in my industry which is wiring harnesses. I'm often lead person on major projects and have to work with the buyers and the clients. my plastic molding experience is not quite enough ( I ran a Van Dorn injection molder making Mary Kay boxes...LOL) I guess I could write "I bild modelz" on my resumé.
  10. When I was a kid, IMCs art of the Ford race cars always mesmerized me. I could not do those models justice with my limited skills back then. I would go and just stare at the art of those kit boxes and lose myself in the image.
  11. truth...That would be like not dating a woman because her stylist screwed up her hairdo.
  12. So you have a lot of Palmer kits too?
  13. But that Chrysler will keep many American mechanics working. I have no problem with agencies getting the best vehicle for whatever it is that they do. Not all agencies need black Suburbans. The notion we need to develop is that we can again be the best and work toward that goal, and not be beholden to cost cutting CEOs looking to move product out the door.
  14. To have the only supercharged four door made would be awesome....but not at the expected prices.
  15. One of those Happy Hobbys on National Ave. burned down a year or so back. Def sad about GNH. I'll be checking out that store for deals on kits and books and art supplies after Feb 4th.
  16. Just acquired a Strombecker Home racing set. Made in 1966 according to the engraving on the underside of the track. Looking at the power pac, the paper label was coming off, and it said Gilbert underneath. Was Strombecker related to Gilbert of S scale American Flyer trains and Erector Set fame?
  17. March 31st will be the end of Greenfield News & Hobbies. Starting as Cudahy News & Hobbies, they were in business for many years. Will be sad to see them close. Model Cars, RC, Rail, Military, other oddments, Art Supplies and magazines of all types. Located in the Milwaukee Metro area, it will be missed. I am a sad Panda.
  18. Awesome Art. I'm gonna have to research how many colors and if they ever offered a car with body colored fenders as an option. I saw a K that was all red.
  19. If I wish to paint a T red or another color besides black, That molded frame will be a B-word. Were Ford frames painted body color before the only in black edict from Henry?
  20. Got a lot of clean up ahead of you. Can't believe someone sold such junk.
  21. That isn't for you to say. Who are you to tell anyone what they can deserve? Harsh, dude.
  22. I'm not trying to sell insurance, but I use Farmer's. They seem the best for me. The best thing is to talk with a broker. Just ask for the least in rates. Mention the medical thing as well as they will put that in as a matter of fact. Now I am not sure of your State's laws regarding this, but always ask for whatever discounts you can get, dropping medical, good driving record, no accidents for many years, et cetera.
