Revell in Omaha (2022 IPMS Nats)
Jordan White replied to niteowl7710's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
It sort of looks like the real car is the same way. Could also be the wheel arches are differently shaped front and rear. -

Glad to see the rumors are true! I have the first release of this and would love to have another! Hopefully it's not more than $50 retail. -

Hey I'll take those wheels, I actually like them even if they are a bit 90s! I'm confused why they decided to show BFG labeled tires on the box art since it's a 99% probability that the kit tires will be blank. -

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, since it is really only for nostalgia at this point. -

Yeah they look the right size to me based on the pic you posted, I'm guessing it's just the unpainted plastic that makes them look larger. I do feel though that there is nothing wrong with critiquing a new tool kit, especially in the early stages where they can get feedback and fix the issues before it is too late. -
From the Revell release thread @niteowl7710 made in the car section, they showed the box art for the newest release. My prediction based on the box art: no body kit (or optional this time), stock wheels, custom lowered suspension/exhaust/rear rollpan. Whatever the case is though, I'm glad to see it back again with the stock wheels (presumably).

I'm glad to see it back again. Based on the box art, I am going to guess stock wheels are back in but the custom lowered suspension is still in over the stock height suspension. It would be nice to see the stock rear bumper and exhaust, but again I am going to guess those won't be appearing in this issue. -
Lindberg Ford F-150.

Not on the F150, but it looks similar to the Aztec Gold (in certain lighting) offered on the 1997 Mustang. -
S10 BAJA
Jordan White replied to Saltie Olds's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Personally I like the decals since it gives it a 90s vibe, and they work since you added the flares and didn’t go with a stock Baja color. Just needs some colored shocks and chrome double tube roll bar and it would be a great show truck! -

Looks great, I like the color! You are correct that the kit represents the '97-'98 model years. In 1999, they revised the front end with a taller grille and a dip in the bumper cover. -
1/25 AMT 1978 Ford Bronco "Wild Hoss"

Just email him at fireballmodelworks@gmail.com with your questions or what you would like to order. I will say that if you want a quantity that is not shown on his page https://fireballmodels.info/ or if you want a combination of items that he doesn't show, that he will pretty much always allow you to do so. I like to order sets of 5 for the off road tires for a matching spare, and he will gladly do so and will give the modified price.- 326 replies

Assuming those are 15” wheels, a quick proportion measurement looks like they are around 35” tall (probably 35x12.5-15s)- 326 replies

A good thread with some differences between the 2 years. Not sure how accurate the kit is to a real 1978 but this will help for those who want a factory stock version. https://www.broncozone.com/threads/differences-between-78s-79s.12757/- 326 replies

Apparently I misunderstood, the ones in the kit are the 1978 Free Wheeling decals, whereas the 1979 version are the larger ones that most people recognize.- 326 replies

These parts aren’t currently available on eBay, is there someone else making the resin grilles for the 80s/early 90s Dodge pickups? -

Yeah I am hoping they can bring us a kit that doesn’t have any body flaws with the technology today, especially as you said at the prices they are commanding today. -

It's funny how for the longest time companies were providing either less decals or worse aftermarket style decals for their re-releases. Now it seems like they have learned that the simple cost of just printing more decals along with more factory decal options goes a long way towards making a kit even more appealing.- 326 replies

Sweet! Those are some classic decals and it would be cheaper than getting aftermarket ones. Rays decals are very nice, but unfortunately due to the nature of his location, they are expensive. Fun fact: these graphics were reflective like on emergency vehicles!- 326 replies

Olson Brothers Resin, they make several items for the Revell 1st gen Bronco, as well as a few vintage style bumpers for some other 70s kits.- 326 replies
