  1. I missed the fact this is a military vehicle in the previous post and thought that someone is releasing a Dodge Hellcat of some sort!
  2. To be technical, according to GM themselves, they were all K5 Blazers, but also used the C10/K10 designation for the 2WD/4WD.
  3. Yeah it looks like 1970 was the first year that 2WD was offered from what I am seeing.
  4. Gotcha, I’ve found Rustoleum can be hit or miss on models. I have been mostly using Duplicolor Perfect match paints since I like how they coat, as well as Tamiya for some colors. The paint from Automotive Touchup is my ultimate favorite to work with, but it is pricier and takes several days to arrive. Don’t give up though, it’s coming along well otherwise!
  5. I may have missed it, but what paint are you using for the body?
  6. Not a fan of the off road wheels they designed, but I am interested in the 3D model of the "off-road" Moebius F-Series kit, it looks like they did design an actual 4x4 F250 (looks to also be shown in the physical mockup with the plow mount on the front). With Joseph at Fireball essentially stopping production of his F250 conversion kit, this will be nice for those who couldn't get it but still want the F250 build. However, I will say his conversion will most likely be the more accurate and detailed of the two.
  7. I believe they modified the long bed kit for the monster truck since the long bed version was only available in '88-'89, which is around the time the monster truck kit was introduced. However, I'm not sure what they would have done to the short bed or stepside variants to cause them to be unusable in their current state, since the stepside kit was released up into the late 90s.
  8. No, that's just an aftermarket wheel. Here is a clip from the 2010 brochure showing the wheels offered.
  9. I would love to see Meng make the new Bronco since their other 4x4 kits are amazing, but I have no idea if they are planning to do any more civilian vehicle kits.
  10. The Olson Bros parts look great, I got some bumpers and winch for the Moebius F100 and they are very well done. The decal part is baffling though, decals are the easiest thing to change/add in a kit and the fact they didn’t add any new stripes, as well as bungled the emblems, is disappointing.
  11. Build looks nice! The one inaccuracy that annoys me is the engine bay, since they somehow gave it the engine bay from the previous generation F-series/Bronco, even though this would have been a newly tooled kit in the 80's.
  12. Let’s just say a lot of factory stock vehicles from the 80s and 90s. Lots of pickups and suvs, plus a handful of cars. Some examples are a 1987 Nissan Pathfinder 3dr, a 1995 Ford F-350 4x4 crew cab, and a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4.
  13. To be honest, I’m 33 and I don’t have much interest in super cars either nowadays. I oddly have a fascination with building models of more mundane vehicles. ?
  14. Somehow this made it to me completely intact and without losing the label! Not exactly sure why they decided to ship this way.
  15. You would have to cut off the roof and either scratchbuild the half top or see if someone makes a resin one. However, if you are thinking about the Scout Terra than you would need to lengthen the wheelbase as well.
  16. Even though it's a very basic kit, it is nice to see the hardtop version return again.
  17. If you want to get technical, the "likes" are the easier option since it's one click versus clicking in the box, typing your text, then clicking Submit. The nice thing is if you don't care for the system, you don't have to use it and you can ignore the notifications for it. You can still reply to a post with text, just as you did before, nothing has changed in that regard. I do agree that so far, this system is strange in that it gives options for responses, but yet only shows a number next to the heart icon especially when the notifications only show that someone reacted to your post.
  18. It's a great kit and I wish they would re-issue it, but alas the molds are most likely permanently in monster truck mode and won't be reverted back at all. I was lucky to find the weird "camper" High Sierra version of the kit at a hobby shop for $75, as well as find the stock grille and rollbar. I guess I would have considered this one of my "holy grail" kits before I found my kit since I love this generation of C/K, and being in 1/16 scale means I can have even more fun with the detailing.
  19. Unfortunately the kit springs are attached to the axles so he would need to cut them off to move them.
  20. Depending on how high you want, I would first suggest the taller body mounts since the kit frame is nicely separate from the body. Next I would go with longer shackles. If you need more, you can slightly heat the springs and re-arch them taller.
  21. On the other hand, the Goodyear radials are some great tires! It’s just too bad they only made them 14” and not 15”!
  22. To be fair, how many people who would use the like button aren't actually writing responses now anyways? I'm not sure if people who do not have an account here count towards the view count for a topic, but it does show that there are already people who view but don't leave a comment. Now I know that (a general) you would think that would mean even less comments, but I think that if someone is now taking the effort to leave a comment, they aren't just going to suddenly stop commenting because there is now a like button. I also think the like button is great to agree with someone's post rather than just leaving a comment that simply says "I agree!" without further context. I will say that on another forum I'm on that has the "like" system, I will like a post and still comment on said post. They don't have to necessarily be either/or.
