  1. In any case, I think that a "like" feature would be beneficial in threads where voting on builds are involved. You wouldn't need to fiddle with making polls here or on a third party site, and rather you could just count the likes (unless you are one who really adores viewing graphs!)
  2. So Moebius, a relatively small model manufacturer, makes a full lineup of Ford trucks from the 60's and early 70's, and they are quite popular. Yet someone like Revell couldn't come along and do the same thing with the 67-72 GM trucks and not expect enough sales to justify it?
  3. Alright, thank you! I may just 3d print my own since then I can make sure they will fit the wheels I am using.
  4. As the title states, are there any resin casters out there making these Chevy/GMC hubcaps?
  5. They re-released that kit several years back as an Ed Roth themed kit. I got one to build as a gift for my dad to replicate his build of the original issue of this kit. Let me tell you that the opening parts are not great, and it had flash for days.
  6. I know that 252" is the top end of the wheelbase for that configuration, but I know some people were saying that the kit seemed short which is why I was wondering what the kit itself scales out to.
  7. Bit of a bump, but I just picked up this kit recently and I have been looking at how other people have built it up. I see that some have lengthened the frame, and I know that the real truck had a range of wheelbases for this cab/drive configuration. Does anyone know what the original kit wheelbase is (approximately) supposed to be?
  8. To be fair, I think Joseph's (Fireball) conversion surpasses anything that would come from Moebius if they decided to make a 250/350 version of the kit.
  9. For those that have built this, how well does it go together?
  10. Revell’s full detail Peterbilt 359 kit. I’m guessing this is a repop of an older kit based on what I see at Scalemates?
  11. I mean the 1/25 kit isn't too far off, it only has the rear doors open and doesn't have the engine detailing parts, but it does also have a fairly detailed interior, and full chassis and engine. Being 1/16 scale certainly does help this one though and it would be cool to see it released again.
  12. I know I've seen this kit on ebay before. Does anyone know if it's just an enlarged version of their 1/25 custom van kit? It certainly resembles it in some ways.
  13. Never, since it would need to come with Pepsi Free decals! ?
  14. I wonder what the status is of the molds for Monogram's version of the Blazer/Jimmy? Seems like that would be a no brainer to release alongside the truck kits.
  15. See that single axle trailer would probably have been more appropriate for the waverunner, pretty much the one in the River Rat kit. However can we appreciate whatever is happening with the trailer tongue on the Mr Sandman image on that ad?
  16. Interesting, so it appears that they used this trailer modified to hold a waverunner in the Silverado Waverider combo kit from the early 2000s. It makes sense now since back then it seemed like a strange trailer for a simple waverunner with how wide it was and with the twin axles.
  17. Yup, the nice thing is both the AMT and Revell/Monogram kits fit together perfectly (unlike some other subjects from different manufacturers). I have an extended cab long box kit made from the Revell kit and AMT 2500 kit that is on my bench.
  18. I don't know of anyone who has done the '89-'91 grille yet. Your best bet would be to modify a grille from the 90s C1500 kit.
  19. I've been seeing things ranging from it just having a matte finish to it causing issues for the plastic. I would say to just go with the TS spray to play it safe.
  20. From an earlier link posted, you are correct, the 203 was full time and the 205 part time 4wd.
  21. My submission for this topic would be the MPC 1988/89 Chevy C1500 which became the USA-1 monster truck. The monster truck seems to be re-released almost every year now, but I feel the original 2WD model was better from a build-variety standpoint. Yes there are the shortbox and stepside kits as well, but the former is rare-ish, and the latter is more common but still hasn't been released since the late 90s.
  22. I mentioned in another thread that Monogram used the incorrect NP205 in their 80's Bronco and F150 kits, rather than the correct NP208. AMT/MPC did get the transfer case correct in their Bronco kit, unsure if Revell did or not in theirs.
  23. To be fair, AMT did that also in the 90's and their kits were very well done (albeit a couple didn't quite match the box, such as the 2WD GMC Sonoma kit with the 4WD Sonoma on the box).
  24. Maybe they need to do this in order to bring back the 90's Chevy C1500 kits in a form other than the monster truck!
