    MGB GT V8

Great build Steve, I have this conversion kit to do. Dave B
  5. Great build Gary, that looks great. I have the same problem with race cars, I build them too glossy, can't help myself. Dave B
  6. Sorry guy's but I'm bored. These have been posted individually before but I thought I would offer a few pics of them together. CSX2323 is a Revell slot car body with a stretched AMT chassis and Monogram 289; CSX2196 is a modified Monogram 427 body with AMT rear guards & nose, stretched AMT chassis using the Monogram big block; and CSX3002 is all Monogram but with AMT nose. All painted in auto acrylic and clear coated. Viking Blue and Guardsman Blue respectively. Tks for looking Dave B
  7. Nice build Ray and great paint. Dave B
  8. Tks for the comments guys. It looks like the 300S file may be delayed but I have high hopes that an A6GCS file I bought may be usable shortly. Dave B
  9. Permanent epoxy on the chassis, methyl ethyl ketone on the body and opaque craft glue for all the glass and small plastic parts on the body. MEK will strip paint if you are too liberal with it. Dave B
  10. Firstly I'd like to thank my old mate Phil for the 3D filament print and the urethane tyres and our friend Vlad for the file, now I'm sweating on the 300S Vlad!! This is my take on Louis Rosier's Monza, as raced in the 1955 Dakar GP were he finished 2nd. He was fatally injured in this car at Montlhery on the 7th October 1956. Seats, transmission tunnel, wheel rims and other small bits and pieces are from my resin bits box. Photeched bonnet straps are Profil 24 and the bonnet and boot fasteners are home made from fuse wire!! Model was finished in a home mix of auto acrylic blue and clear coated. Decals from my left over stash. Tks for looking Dave B
  11. Great build Helmut, at the most it just needs a subtle cosmetic restoration. Tks for sharing. Dave B
  12. Magic Bill, now I just need to shrink myself to 1/8 scale and drive away! Dave B
  13. Great paint and love the exhaust detail. Dave B
  14. Great builds Helmut, if only Hasegawa would re-release their photoetched wire wheels for this kit. Dave B
  15. Thanks for the comments guys. I picked up the remaining decals last night and have now finished it. Back to the 750 Monza!! Dave B
  16. That's a very nice build Michael, tks for posting. Dave B
  17. Hi folks, Marco, yes the first picture is off the printer with some styrene and putty added to start to correct the shape. It was a pretty ordinary file. Gary, the photo etched spokes are Herb Deeks and the rims are modified Italeri 250SWB. Dave B
  18. This is my take on Maserati chassis no. 151.002 but assigned 151/003 for 1964 and I have modelled it based on that years Le Mans entry. It was not a great race for the Maser, pitted on the first lap and lost 2 minutes. It did fight back getting up to third and being the first car to exceed 300kmh during the race, before retiring with a short circuit that could not be traced. It's actually not quite finished as I am waiting on some decals from my mate Phil who printed the body for me, can't hassle him too much!! Considering what I started with I am happy with the outcome and it looks good in the display cabinet with my other front engined racers. Sprayed in auto acrylic, clear coated and polished. Now it's time to get serious on my Ferrari 750 Monza. Tks for looking. Dave B
  19. While finishing off my Maser 151/3 my mate printed me a 750 Monza drawn by our friend. I felt it needed to be a little deeper in the rear so have added a wedge, 2mm to 3mm. Will post again after a little more work is done. Tks for looking. Dave B
  20. Spectacular build Rich, really nice, congratulations. Dave B
  21. Great build Gary, I have the slot car body as well just haven't got around to back casting it yet. Dave B
  22. Hi Andrew, it's 1/24th, the wheels are made up from Herb Deeks photoetched spokes and cut down Italeri rims. Dave B
  23. Final WIP post. Have been busy finalizing body shape and making the mould for the windscreen. Sprayed a clear coat on this morning just to see how it looks, with a polish it will come up fine. Tks for looking. Dave B
  24. Beautiful, what more can I say. Congratulations Bruce. Dave B
