That's a nice build Brian, I also cannot understand why Revell did not release a D type especially with all the options available and the fact the real car was commonly raced in the USA. I'll just have to make do with my Lindberg and Merit versions, basic though they are. Dave B

Hi Rich, that's a nice build but it leaves me confused. It looks like a 427 body but with 289 font suspension and wheels from the Sunny kit. Dave B -
Nice conversion Spence, the convertible is very attractive and I really should by a coupe and convert it, it would go with my existing coupe nicely. Dave B

Some time back my good mate received two of these kits from a friend in the US. As we do a fair bit of wheeling and dealing I ended up with one of them. It was a very basic resin kit, nicely apportioned body, beautiful photo etched wire spokes and grill and nice resin wheel/tyre. I decided the kit deserved better than the other parts supplied so proceeded to make my own rear 1/4 leaf springs and trailing arms, upper and lower front suspension arms and tie rod, brake drums (spares from a Merit Alfa 158) and backing plates. I also removed the louvres on each side of the bonnet as they were all different lengths and cut in some I had previously cast in resin from a Monogram Indy car, made up an aluminium floor area around the gearbox and changed the seat to a more accurate one. Prepped and sprayed with auto acrylic undercoat I then mixed and sprayed my own auto acrylic maroon, clear coated and polished out. Decals that came with the kit were applied. A challenging build and much more satisfactory than building a "kit". Am now hoping another mate can 3D filament print me an Alfa 33 Periscopia. Tks for looking. Dave B

Tks guy's, I appreciate your comments. Helmut, the one with the black horn is the original, it is also minus both the rear view mirrors. I also had wheels broken off and managed to drill the axle and wheel and pin them with spring wire and super glue. Dave B

I'm in the MG car club down here and one of the trophies is a TC in a glass case. Unfortunately this was dropped and one of the committee members, knowing I was a modeller, purchased an unbuilt replacement from EBay then, after talking with me, arranged for the broken model and unbuilt kit to be given to me. On inspection I decided the broken one was repairable so I stripped it, tanked it in caustic soda and built both at the same time. I think Robin will be suitably surprised when I return both. Tks for looking

Well I have finally finished my 3D filament print body of the first iteration of the Shadow Mk2. First I must thank my mate Phil for the body and his friend Vlad for the file. Had great fun finding appropriate bits for it but it is my take only on it and not strictly accurate. Pete Lyons great book Shadow was invaluable. Painted in auto acrylic black and clear coated with decals by Patto. Tks for looking Dave B

Hi Dave, I have spoken to my mate that did the body for me and he has no intention of marketing commercially, sorry. Tks Rich, it's coming along nicely, have been going through my resin box and gathering generic bits for it. Hardest part was the front wheels and tyres but still being into 1/32 slot cars I made them out of Fly Ferrari 512 rear wheels and my mate cast some urethane tyres. Size is spot on according to Pete Lyons Shadow book. Have to cut the struts of the rear wing and angle inwards but won't do this until I have done the chassis and mounted the gearbox as this is where the struts will mount to. Have ordered 2 sets of decals from Patto to get most of what is required. Finally happy with the finish on the body, wouldn't know it came off a filament printer!! Tks for looking. Dave B
