  2. Nice build Justin, that does look really good. Dave B
  3. More great builds Helmut, tks for sharing. Dave B
  4. Nice build Helmut, I actually pinched the wheels off mine for a Tipo 33 Periscopia that I have almost finished and retro fitted Minilites to the GTAm. Dave B
  5. That's a nice build Helmut, the 60's Alpines were great little cars. Dave B
  6. Great build Rich, I do like the 1/20th scale F1's but really don't need another scale to build. Dave B
  7. Hi Bernard, that's a nice build of an unusual subject. Love Maserati's, having built 2xTipo 61, 1x450S, 1x250F, 1x8CTF, 1x3500GT and a Merak, don't suppose you put it into silicon before building it? Dave B
  8. Museum quality Tomasz, thanks for posting. Dave B
  9. Another flawless build Baek, I love your choice of interesting models. Dave B
  10. Great build Rich, that does look spectacular. I too like the Fisher resins. Dave B
  11. Nice build Tony, looks really good. Dave B
  12. My mate came good and filament 3D printed a body for me. I had given him the scale length and width but not, unfortunately the depth, and I ended up with something reminiscent of a late 60's Tamiya slot car body. He did offer to print me another but I thought I could remedy this one by increasing the depth and at the same time fixing a few other issues. I was lucky as it came with a 3D printed windscreen mould, which I have coated in epoxy and is ready to sand smooth, and an additional tail as the rear panel of the body had not printed very well. I have started going through my resin box for the other parts I need. Tks for looking. Dave B
  13. Great building Thomas, it is a great looking Group C car, just a pity they were not more successful. Dave B
  14. That's a nice build Brian, I also cannot understand why Revell did not release a D type especially with all the options available and the fact the real car was commonly raced in the USA. I'll just have to make do with my Lindberg and Merit versions, basic though they are. Dave B
  15. Dave, your efforts and the moderators are appreciated by all, thanks. Dave B
  16. That is a great build Baek, I love the chrome bumper B GT and you have nailed it. Dave B
  17. Hi Rich, that's a nice build but it leaves me confused. It looks like a 427 body but with 289 font suspension and wheels from the Sunny kit. Dave B
  18. Nice conversion Spence, the convertible is very attractive and I really should by a coupe and convert it, it would go with my existing coupe nicely. Dave B
  19. Tks for the additional info Andrew, now I am looking forward to seeing yours built, it looks like you are going to go to a lot more trouble than me!! PS, you were right about location, Hobart, Tasmania. Dave B
  20. That looks suitably 'period' Ken. Dave B
  21. Thanks guys, sorry Larry I have no idea who made it. Plain white cardboard box and the instructions were photocopies hand written.
  22. That's a nice build Curt, we wouldn't expect anything less from you!! Dave B
  23. Some time back my good mate received two of these kits from a friend in the US. As we do a fair bit of wheeling and dealing I ended up with one of them. It was a very basic resin kit, nicely apportioned body, beautiful photo etched wire spokes and grill and nice resin wheel/tyre. I decided the kit deserved better than the other parts supplied so proceeded to make my own rear 1/4 leaf springs and trailing arms, upper and lower front suspension arms and tie rod, brake drums (spares from a Merit Alfa 158) and backing plates. I also removed the louvres on each side of the bonnet as they were all different lengths and cut in some I had previously cast in resin from a Monogram Indy car, made up an aluminium floor area around the gearbox and changed the seat to a more accurate one. Prepped and sprayed with auto acrylic undercoat I then mixed and sprayed my own auto acrylic maroon, clear coated and polished out. Decals that came with the kit were applied. A challenging build and much more satisfactory than building a "kit". Am now hoping another mate can 3D filament print me an Alfa 33 Periscopia. Tks for looking. Dave B
  24. Tks guy's, I appreciate your comments. Helmut, the one with the black horn is the original, it is also minus both the rear view mirrors. I also had wheels broken off and managed to drill the axle and wheel and pin them with spring wire and super glue. Dave B
  25. Spectacular build Jay. Dave B
