  1. You came to the right place .. models and madness. .. welcome to the forum.
  2. I never thought I would ever stop and stare for 5 minutes at a photo o a drive shaft!
  3. Those WERE land cruisers .. don't even fit in a photo!
  4. I big YES, Christian .. especially the seat pattern!
  5. and don't forget .. "and doesn't follow Window Standards that every other software developed is required to follow for a Windows Approved sticker."
  6. I'm not sure what version of the '68 you had down under, but the new Revell '68 is the European model. The American '68 Beetle had different bumpers, tail lights, headlights and some other parts. All of these are available on the new Revell '70 Cabriolet, including a vented engine lid. Here's a photo of the '68 with the Cabriolet engine lid on it .. perfect fit. I have both so did a quick tape up and crappy photo. but you can see the perfect fit (including hinges) and the vent pattern.
  7. This something different .. always attracts me.
  8. Dump IE and go to Firefox or Chrome. IE has always had problems here.
  9. B-N-L Resins has a ball hitch and mount .. think on the others page.
  10. This is some wonderful bodywork!
  11. who needs headlights? My sister is 70 and blind from birth .. she has done just fine with a couple arms for touch ...
  12. I've been watching from the hills to your west .. enjoying your build.
  13. I'm about in the same boat. I just build for myself but still find things I can't do as well. BMF was the first toll .. I have a '59 Chevy sitting for 15 years with just the BMF to finish. Most of my builds now aren't heavy, curved BMF jobs .. and also get weathering to cover my mistakes! I have a magnifier on my light that helps sometimes. I'll never go to a scale larger than 1/24 ... that seems to cry for even more small details despite the larger size of everything. Just more blank space there.
  14. I hear ya .. painting is what I dislike most about building. It's been since about 1960 when I used my first spray can on a model car .. I'm still learning. But, I'm a car nut and will never go back to any other kind of model .. don't hold me to that ..
  15. Welcome to the forum. As an airplane modelers you would already have most of the needed skills. We auto modelers are always borrowing techniques from plane and armor modelers. I think the biggest difference is our paint ... no one else needs such shiny, smooth paint. But then, there's weathering and rat rods!
  16. Great idea .. will be watching
  17. I always loved this car .. good to see it getting built and looking good.
  18. They are usually well done shape wise and a quality resin casting job .. but rather thick. Just crank up the Dremel and grind as needed. I'd buy another.
  19. Many automobile kits missing, but it looks like it may be in process pf moving and being updated. A very cool site nonetheless
  20. It looks good to taking a paint job. No car I paint is shiny to start anyway. Primer does that but otherwise I will sand the shiny plastic to give some grip to the paint.
  21. Good to see this moving forward .. rear looks good.
  22. What do you mean by "finish" .. like a layer of grease or an embossed texture? A simple photo might explain it clearly.
  23. I like the look of this. The weathering is well done and not OVER done. Is that a steering wheel on the underside above the rear axle?
