  1. ah .. it's the Revell .. that's the difference.
  2. I just put up a shelf on a bare wall this weekend and finally used some plastic drawer racks to get organized!
  3. My kids are 33 and 36 so it's been awhile since they've lived home. My daughter, the oldest, is a free thinker and eventually went to an Agricultural school and never followed it for a vocation. She worked at all the gourmet restaurants around here for peanuts. She's lived away but has always been "away" since high school. We still miss here at those times, but now she has a thriving dog car business and lives 10 minutes away. My son went to college 4 hours away, met the girl of his dreams and settled there. Now two grandkids and 4 hours we don't see them that often but it could be worse. I have liked having the house to ourselves and the kids responsible for themselves after all those years. I feel we did our job and now time to "retire"! I OWN my basement model shop!
  4. Looking good .. very interesting!
  5. What you did in that time IS amazing! Well deserved.
  6. Can I ask what kit this is? The rear exhaust has both pipes, which I had to make for the AMT A-Team van I used for my build of my daughter's van. Also the dash looks more accurate. I'll be following you here. I like your wheel choice. Tell us what you've done in addition to the photos.
  7. here's some good advice .. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20866
  8. Thanks for the encouraging comments, guys. I can't believe I'm close to seeing the finish of this. Wheels are epoxied and planning the, hopefully, last JB Weld of a hinge back on today. The hubcap decals are ready and that might be worth a photo ... otherwise I'm trying to hold off till something substantial is done. Charlie, the Berkshires haven't moved ... well, almost .. lost two trees Sunday in that wicked line of thunderstorms. With TWO completions (including this van) this year, NNL East is going to have to fit in the schedule! The wife may come to this one as we have two grandson's an hour south of Wayne. We will have to hook up there, finally. Now that I know your camera it should be easy finding you!
  9. That looks really good.!
  10. I love watching your bodywork (and your mind behind it!) Will those fins need a NO STEP on them?
  11. That's some nice work .. front and back. Getting all those cutouts on the rear to look equal is not easy!
  12. Thanks Randy. I plan to take a bunch of photos of the interior before I put it in the body as it will be tough to see then.
  13. This is in FINAL ASSEMBLY! One side of the interior is epoxied in and did a mockup to check fit and see how purple window color works. The purple passes and fit is good. The only problem ... THE TOP HINGE ON LEFT DOOR CAME UNGLUED!!! gRRRRR Don't mind the wheels as they were just stuck on and somewhat wobbly with no glue. At any rate, I'm happy with it all. Just a few little things .. waiting for some radio faces to see if Detail Master's are better than ones i have. The rear axle came unglued during the mockup so it got epoxied in place for good. The matching plastic glur face was pretty small so the epoxy should hold it. I can almost SMELL the final display case!!!
  14. Good to see those puppies in the works, Mack
  15. Great looking build!
  16. Wonderful replica. I especially adding the road grime! One of my favorite subjects .. "cars I've owned".
  17. Good to see you back to this piece of Art. I think I needed that year to calm and get my heartbeat back to normal after the incredible things I've seen here!
  18. Good looking .. even the tail light seals in place!
  19. This sure is not going to throw our interest belly up! That's a nice frame there.
  20. Definitely a long one! Sounds like it has a good chance of staying together with all that metal stressful on itself.

Nice job ... a real looker!
  22. I think your friend will be ecstatic, Marcos! That is beautiful in anyone's book!
  23. ehhe .. young ones. I was playing Ultima in 1985 .. that was DOS. I'm an old goat but never lost the love of adventure games. I've been in Everquest for over 10 years .. 1 and 2. I even did a one year stint in WoW for a break. I created my workplace in Doom which turned out not a bad level. I still play games that spark an interest. I had a console once .. Atari 2600, but I don't do them once I had my first computer. have fun all you guys.
