  1. I tend to "judge" paint online by the reflections ... this passes with flying colors!! Very nice.
  2. Nice looking body Jeff ... but I stopped paying attention to Detroit iron about 1968 .. could you be more specific as to what it is?
  3. Sounds like an awesome day .. for the kids too. It definably sounds like you have two up and coming modelers there!
  4. It's not a rut, but I've eased off building too ... just a short vacation! I'll start up soon I think, but enjoying the down time also. I had a rush to build for a show and that got to be more of a job, so it was vacation time after the show.

Nice rescue. I especially like that paint scheme.
  6. Wow .. that's really coming together!
  7. That baby is really nice! The paint I wouldn't think was great in a description .. but it is gorgeous!
  8. It sure looks like centerfold material to me! Words can't describe how this is looking or what a wonderful trip you've taken us through, so all I can say is "it makes me want to build!.
  9. It's looking good from here. I have a '56 Nomad in the pile that I'll have to watch out for if I ever start it .. sounds like this one has been battling you.
  10. yeah ... and stop being a turtle and run to the store!
  11. Nice job on this ... makes me hungry!
  12. I want to see those turbos plumbed into the engine! Looking good..
  13. That's cool ... and you have the company right to boot!
  14. I've used a number of different decal papers and never noticed any real difference in thickness. I don't see that it really matters much as long as you printer handles the paper ok. This all gets discarded in the end. The key to the sealer is a couple thin, misted, applications so it doesn't run the ink. I have used the Testors product and never had problems but that was applies with a few mist coats anyway. Your specific printer's ink is a factor, so just keep what works.
  15. Oh yeah! ... but what happened to the red sheets?
  16. It was at the Hillcrest Hospital annual car show on the hospital grounds in western part of Pittsfield ... very nice grounds. There's always a better than you'd think mix from classics to hot rods and customs. Then there's Corvette Alley ... same spot every year .. maybe a Doctor thing for their plastic cars. Only thing I could find right now is this. It's always July 4th weekend and looks like the 3rd this one. If you find yourself getting serious about this, DO let me know. It'd be cool to meet up for it.
  17. This is an interesting site, but the site programmer need a lesson in webpage programming. The description of the part appears in the photo window before the photo appears but there is no description once the photo loads. I suspect there may be a popup after loading, but only web newbies submit to irritating popups ... scratch 80% of possible customers. I'm surprised I don't even get the photo caption when I run my mouse over the photo . must be turned off ... scratch the other 20%.
  18. YES! ... it counts AGAINST you!
  19. This is quite an ambitious project! I have a few photos of a restored '66 Tatra that was at a local car show here and I was taken by the rear engine. I took more photos of this than the '49 Mercs! If you would like the high resolutions of any of these just PM me your email and I'll send.
  20. That has a cool look to it. The sedans are not easy bodys to section or chop and it looks like you succeeded in getting a smooth flow. I'd like to see a full side shot. I'm partial to 40 Sedan hacking as I did one in '61 when I was 15 years old that ended up a scale 48" high ... pretty extreme. I've always wanted to recreate that as it got thrown out in an attic clean up at my Mom's house.
  21. I always have popups off and never got an error here. oh, I use Firefox. Due make sure whatever browser you use is up to date. All kinds of weird things have happened with old browsers and the newboard software. Sorry I can't be of more help.
  22. As for me, I just forgot what all this was about.
  23. Thanks for the timely replys. I had thought what you all are saying was the way it was, but I just didn't know for sure. Now I'm happy I don't have to come up with one!
  24. That Is interesting. I wonder if they come from scraps from larger projects. Any idea what target buyer is?
