  1. I got beat to commenting on the rugs .. that texture is just right.
  2. I always loved that car just for it's uniqueness.
  3. For putty, I'd recommend 2 part auto body putty. This will not shrink and cures fast. The one part putty shrinks over time but I still use it for small, thin, quick uses. Bondo is fine and other brands too. Glazing putty is the type most use.
  4. I was still going through the pics on previous post, so Congrats on the Paint!
  5. Yeah, for sure! But the thought was just rambling in my hear AND many with involvement DO visit here.
  6. Thanks for that, Gary! Your photos are exquisite! .. I felt I was there leaning in only 2" away.
  7. I find it upsetting that winners, or Voters Favorites from NNL's, are never posted. At least, I never can find them. I wonder who won trophies at the GSL XXIII? Did anyone place at MassCar 2011? How about NNL East? I visit sites at many of the contests I see posted and the sponsoring club rarely ever posts the results of what everyone enters for! What's going on here?
  8. Maybe you should stay there ! looks good.
  9. Good to see an F1 with proper decals.
  10. That is some superb detailing!
  11. There have been a couple Volvos, though I consider them new! (I want a 145 wagon ... one of 2 cars I've had that I can't model)
  12. Your experience with armor weathering shows ... that is gorgeous!
  13. That's cool .. I like the look of body. It must have a turning circle like an airliner!
  14. That looks wonderful! A very worthwhile endeavor with the history. Your detailing and weathering look right in place.
  15. Celsius ... mark down to 398C
  16. Nice fiberglass body! My guess would NOT have been a Predicta to start this! This is a cool idea AND execution ... well done! And, I like it!

Clay also has an extensive thread for posting photos here in the Tips section .. here's a quick link to it
  18. Fascinating work and great documentation of the build. It's been great fun following along ..
  19. I'm glad you didn't post this!
  20. This looks good! I'm surprised the edges of the hood clear glass don't look 3" thick.
  21. heheh That was my job in the '50s .. identifying every car on the road ... was 4 to 14 years old. Got them all. The hood ornaments were pretty notable ones..
  22. I like the look of the fabric roof ... the seam especially makes it! If anything, the photos shade some edges along the side windows. No doubt, these look much better in person but some fabric cement applied and pressed down may hid these edges ... hopefully it wouldn't wreck the texture. I might just leave it ... just an off the wall thought.
