  1. I've been on a little van vacation since the rush to MassCar but it's been sitting here on the scanner staring at me all along so I need to get back on it. Tomorrow it's 70 degrees here in the mountains and the lakes are still fully covered in ice! ... it will be tough. Below is just the van sitting here taunting me ... The tires I had were found to have too large an ID for Ryan's 8 lug rims so I'm gonna pressure him into getting his masters done for the Bridgestones he showed with them. Ryan will happier than I when this van is finished! I tried adding a strip around the rim but it was still small and any larger and it would show.
  2. You're best yet Nick! I like the look of that baby.
  3. Cheers for doing one after a 1:1!
  4. They put numbers on and count everything you can imagine these days ... how come we have never seen this? We'd probably have a good idea if you all didn't buy 5 cases of everything!
  5. sure is a nice mesh there. The engine is full of well done materials.
  6. I don't see what a spouse has to do with selecting a hobby for yourself. period You do have a full cart there and it is wise to be careful with buying .. it IS addicting. You don't need 5 kits waiting for your attention (don't mention that to anyone else on this forum) so just try to get only you immediately need. Come up with something your wife will get a kick out of ... something involving a bike?
  7. Some good lookers here! Everyone much be sick of my avatar do here's from the other side!
  8. and just in time .. I need a set for the van so what's the price and will be off to you?
  9. Nice job on that brick, Neal

    1937 Ford

    That DOES look good!
  11. My wife has all the longroofs .. this is her 91 Subie Legacy.
  12. You might look at Danny's thread that has how he made brick .. pretty simple and it looks real.
  13. I can appreciate that ... and twice on the Coupe version .. the same, but oh so different! My two ... I still like the original body design best
  14. Were both chassis variations on the same kit by the same maker? I would have expected a good fit also.
  15. My first builds were done with Testers enamel paint and brush. I had considerable experience under my Dad painting our house trim so some actually didn't look bad. My venture into candy spray cans looked worst than the brushed on stuff! That was 53 years ago and I'm still learning.
  16. two words .. bootleg beer
  17. That's cool .. I like the primitive log ties too. and 1/26 scale! Lets see it next to a Model T
  18. Glad to see ya posting and reducing the size will make them look better. It's hard to get an overall look when so big. Here's the link to Clay's article on photo posting Stasch mentioned.
  19. The real one isn't much larger!
  20. Takes my breath away!
  21. Nicely done!
  22. I like the spare tire at the same angle as the braces ... btw, nice rear bracing.
  23. The tires fit really well .. did they need a massage to fit so nice?
  24. I don't see why not. Just look at the replica builds .. they are usually required to have photos of the 1:1 on display. Just be tasteful is size and placement.
