Jon, that may be the only Comet I've ever seen that I thought looked good!

Took many small putty rounds but I was doing it all by eye and no claim to accuracy. The hood nose at least matches the grill and looks right to my eye. My old standby Duplicolor Sandable Primer isn't covering well anymore. It is in a new can. Maybe it's just this old red plastic that is refusing to go away. These photos have a tint of red still and blotches where red was in the nose area. Back to panel lines now ..

It hasn't advanced but getting back to the '51 promo has it in my head and your build might get me back to it. That describes my build speed well ..

cool ... will be looking forward to it. The Plymouth I had with that engine was a '51 ... it never started in the winters of New England. Maybe the link to my build will give you some ideas.

Glad to see the old L-Head will be in place ... as much as I hate that engine's cold start capabilities.

I somehow missed your build going on here but I won't be leaving. I really enjoyed reading thru it all and the way you build. I love using found materials in my builds, probably the result of my sewing box raids when young for plug thread. I have my popcorn now, sitting back to enjoy ..
