Thanks, guys! Yep, that's the kit's 308, but I added my own finned head and some Stromberg carbs with curved stacks from the reissued Revell Tweedy Pie.

Love it! I've always wanted to build a Terlingua Mustang myself.

Photoetch for '65 Continental?
Chuck Most replied to ChrisBcritter's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Last issue was 2007- same box art as the '97 reissue, but with a "Nostalgia Series" oval blurb printed on the box top. -
Just a mildly modified build of the Moebius kit, with a slightly distressed paint job which was inspired by a die cast M2 Mercury limo. (Sorry, Jim, since I used semigloss clear, this one is only half shiny. ) For those of you checking the scoreboard, this is the 9th one I've finished.

If the kit isn't out yet, the thread should be moved elsewhere. "General" perhaps. Threads like that can be interesting, but they are not reviews.A review should be a review- maybe with some wild speculation and a little history and personal opinion in there, but a review nevertheless- the whole point of a review is to get a good idea of what you are getting with the product in question. Pictures of the kit contents and/or a built up kit are great, but not absolutely mandatory. A formal structure for each post would be great, but being as cynical as I am, I'm pretty sure nobody would follow it.

New location is 116 N. Washington St., at the former Aldrich Art Supply building.

End result was worth your effort. That's one sharp Mopar. -
Just a 'spares box special'- Tamiya RX-7 kit, Monogram Winston Cup 358 ci Ford small block, Testors Aluma Coupe wheels and tires, and so on...

Wow, those '70's Funny Cars looked cool.

My new favourite car...

But, Lordy... what a lovely mildly restyled Jaguar XKE she is... -
Thanks! Kind of what I thought. I wanted to black out the windows on a Tamiya Skyline I built not too long ago (same reason- lack of interior detail) but couldn't bring myself to do it, but the 'blackout' look is perfect on this car.

The only thing I don't like about the AMT Challenger promos (and kits) is the way they did the uprights for the front spoiler- the whole thing gets painted black and it looks like there's a chunk missing out of the back of the bumper. Other than that anybody who thinks they look like "toys" needs to have their eyes examined. You said it was polished- I'm wondering is the body painted or molded in color? Anyway, love how it looks with the stock wheels and the ones you added. There's a 1:1 light blue Challenger R/T in my area with wheels similar to the ones you put on this one. I kind of wonder how those stock Challenger wheels would look on the 'Cuda now.

Cordoba. Mirada was a Dodge. Either way it does bear quite a resemblance. Nice job on this one- I'm assuming this is a curbside originally meant to be motorized?

One of these would look pretty good decked out with the accessories from Aoshima's Patrol Car parts set too, now that I think of it.
-
Awesome! Now I just need to see a built-up example of the Enkei version and I'm pretty sure Aoshima will be getting at least a few bucks out of my pocket.

Could have put "Spoiler Alert" or something in the thread title...

Just we thought it was over! ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS

John- I can think of the one who stutters, thinks the word 'idea' has an 'r' at the end, and has never met a pair of sleeves he liked. That narrow it down? -
One more reason I wish I'd made it to the Detroit NNL this year...

Meaning I might be partially broke shortly?

Not digging the side window shape, but I like the rest. And I have to agree the 510 influence is crystal clear in the design. -
I'm hoping you're right- that'll just mean that if I'm patient I can build my old-school VIP with no kitbashing and/or aftermarket intervention required.
-
A bit of useless trivia about that- after being refitted (the Quick Fix guise which exists today), the the car was painted black at the behest of LBJ. He felt that people would associate the original metallic blue color with the assassination.

ETC stood for Eldorado Touring Coupe, but whenever I pull up behind one at a stoplight, I always think it looks like Cadillac was too lazy to put the rest of the name on the deck lid. "Eldorado, Etc. ... " Yeah, I'm sick of strings of alphabet soup and numbers passing as car names too, but let's be honest, they ran out of cool names for cars decades ago.
