  1. Hey- if people do that, and you find you have way too many, I'll take the remainder!
  2. I'm actually working on something right now. Stay tuned...
  3. Work on the interior has begun. Kit had both seats molded in place- That HAD to go. I first tried cutting them into buckets, but didn't like the way they looked, even after filling in the sides. Made the seats go away, and made a huge mess of the tub. I've removed the front bench from a 1:1 car in the past, THAT wasn't as tedious as this! And it STILL needs some work, but I filled in the gaping holes in the door panels, and grafted in the floor from a '65 reissue.
  4. No Internationals, though, and that's my biggest hang up. I like the Ford Aeromax and LTL 9000 (my favorite non-International rigs), and I'd love to see some new American rigs from them. Hey- I'd love to see what they've got in store for European tractors and trucks as well.
  5. If this kit is a sucess.... and pardon me if I'm mistaken, it already is... I'd me more suprised if Moebius did NOT offer a few Binder kit spin-offs. I'd love to see them kit a first-gen Scout, or if we all promise to be really good, the MaxxForce concept '39 Hot Rod (stock or show truck, please)! But the bigger Internationals you mentioned? I WOULD buy at least a couple of each. What about a CXT? The heavy truck/tractor kits have been riding a tidal wave of renewed interest the last couple of years, I think a few of the long-wanted truck kits we've been wanting for years might be getting closer to reality.
  6. This kit is THE new standard. I've seen the Italeri stuff, which might have been the high water mark up until now, and they're good, but I think Moebius is well on its way to becoming the new Revell! I can only hope this is just the beginning for Moebius. If this kit is sucessful in today's ecomomic/hobby climate (and from what I see, it already is), I would be more suprised if Moebius did NOT produce more big-rig kits, than if they did. And there's still a pretty big niche of light commerical kits that is still untapped, maybe Moebius will step in to fill that void. Who knows? Maybe somewhere down the line I'll FINALLY get that first-gen IH Scout kit I've always wanted...
  7. Flip the Chevy axle over so the diff's on the proper side, and boom... instant high-pinion front axle!
  8. Front fenders? Yes, at least on the light duty pickups. Couldn't tell you about the running boards, and the rear fenders are different.
  9. You must be thinking of a different pic- this one is Mark Martin for sure. I'll see if I can locate that issue... I need to get this place organized!
  10. I feel the same way, brutha! For conveinience's sake, here's my album of the kit contents- http://public.fotki.com/ChuckMost/kit-contents/moebius/international-lonestar/
  11. Ford pickup? Check. Unibody Effie? Check. Guy named Chuck? Check. Being built by a guy who always does killer work? Check. Oh, yeah. I'll be looking in on this one.
  12. Dave- got my first of what I hope will be many Lonestar kits today. Totally speechless. You all did a fantastic job on this one!
  13. I have one. One Moebius Lonestar. Thanks for making me feel pathetic and insignificant! Sheesh- my mom & pop local shop in the middle of nowhere has already sold out of his first two orders, while the old standby muscle car kits collect dust on the shelf. What's THAT tellin' ya?
  14. Testors enamels in spray cans are best left to collect dust on the shelf, for the most part. There's no consistency. Some colors lay down well and dry quickly, others are orange-peely to beat the band and take 96 years to dry (I don't believe the gloss black ever truly dries... ). The Lacquers and Model Master stuff is great, as are the One Coat colors, but on the whole, I'm suprised Testors still even bothers making spray enamels. I have to wonder how many modelers were scared away from the hobby forever by terrible Testors paint and putties.
  15. Funny... one of my local shops carries it in stock, the other has ordered it for me on several occasions. At any rate, glad to hear the G-Bucket will be a done deal... some day.
  16. Tim- love the G-Bucket, I'd hate to see it stall over a cool detail like that!Check out Ma's Resin- he sells a sheet of 200-some resin bolt heads in various sizes, just slice 'em off and glue 'em on! Plastruct also makes lenghts of hexagonal rod that could be cut into pieces to create bolts.
  17. Could be done with a little tinkering- in fact I think I tried it a few years back on a project I ended up abandoning for no good reason. Though if I recall, the front diff is on the opposite side of where a Ford front diff would be (could be wrong there).
  18. Indeed they are, or so I hear. Can't wait for that one either!
  19. Heck, I'd be happy if they just fixed that annoying pig-nose grille on the existing '70 kit! There must be something tough to duplicate about the '69/'70 Mustang nose in scale- except those rare old AMT kits, they're ALL wrong, even those pricey Danbury die casts.
  20. I JUST downloaded the latest version of Internet Explorer, and figured out how to get it working. Anyway, I've said I'll buy the hardtop, warts and all, and I'm thinking I'll be having a droptop Falcon in my future, too. I just want to see what Gregg does with THIS one.
  21. Do you guys see the black Suburbans with satellite dishes on the roofs parked in front of your houses, too?
  22. As if banished to another land... I right clicked as well, but some browsers will open such a link in a new tab.
  23. Not sure if he's a builer, but years ago SAE ran a photo of Mark Martin reading a copy of SAE with one of Bill Coulter's models on the cover- late '80's/early '90's. There. That's pretty much it for my NASCAR trivia!
  24. Gary Schmidt has always had exceptional customer service, and his product line is top notch all the way. Cannot WAIT to see what this '50's cruiser is all about... if it's even a third as good as the Aerosedan/sedan delivery kits, I think we're in for a pleasant suprise!
  25. That's right, Mark! Years ago, you bought such a vehicle as 'basic transportation'. Nowadays, some of the economy cars are pretty cool. I'm actually considering an '11 Fiesta as my next car, now that my 320,000 mile '98 Mercury Tracer has finally given up the ghost . It's well within my budget, gets great mileage, and dare I say... I think the thing actually looks COOL!
