I really can't say much about this one......http://www.ebay.com/itm/1948-Anglia-Model-Pro-Built-Truck-Parts-1-24-Junkyard-Vintage-Lot-5/182448046820?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D45701%26meid%3Df08acbe88717400b8e52b0b8613cdc26%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D253063473653

I agree with you, either the MPC or the AMT chassis would be wrong for this car. I do think changing the roll cage structure would make it passable. To get the right wheelbase could you merge the wedge panels with the Revell chassis and body panels? The chassis would still be wrong. Hopefully my preorder will be in next week.

Here's Reound 2's description. http://www.collectormodel.com/amt/3470-don-prudhommes-radical-wedge-dragster-hits-the-track-from-amt/#sthash.aHr7YogI.dpbs Drew could you possibly be mistaken?

This uses the Garlits kit and not the AMT Wedge reissued in December? That's bizarre.

Yes......absolutely a 50's build idea. Nicely executed.

Did you check Model Car Garage? They may make what you're looking for.

Photo bucket: Class action suit?
iBorg replied to BigTallDad's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree......it really had made searching for old info difficult. Weird thing is they still show up in a Google search. -
I have a new display case that's almost empty......sure I have a shelf for that. Mercy that's beautiful.

~90% Plus Shipping Charge ????~
iBorg replied to 1972coronet's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ebay has combined shipping charges with the final value for several years. Ebay also forces sellers (strongly encourage) to use either free shipping or a fixed shipping charge. Depending on where you're located this is practical. For example if you're in the middle of the country, this works. If you're on the coast, the post adds distance to weight. The end result I can ship three states away for one fee but killed shipping to the other coast. Large shippers get discounts based upon volume. I bet Tower ships more in a day than I will in two lifetimes. Therefore, they get a lot better price. I agree shipping charges are a factor......I've passed on a lot of five or ten dollar items due to $20 shipping. I understand why the shipping is so high, I just chose not to pay it. Very few things in hobbies do I NEED, just want.- 17 replies

Photo bucket: Class action suit?
iBorg replied to BigTallDad's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Legally, I can't see the free users having any legal grounds for suit. A typical contract includes consideration, typically a payment of some kind, for an action. The action was hosting images. Free is not consideration. -
I love it! It may have the plague, but its well represented!

Little Red Wagon
iBorg replied to Preston's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
This is one of those kits I bet over half were not completed and at least a quarter thrown against the wall. A very nice build of a VERY challenging kit. -
Wow that's so much better than I ever expected to see that kit built. Truly outstanding,,,,,,from a lump of.....well you know.

K&R Kustoms+Rods belly tanker update: 8/12/17
iBorg replied to Rocking Rodney Rat's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I have to admit when I read your first post and the use of the Long John body for the basis of your tanker, I feared you were doomed for failure. I never would have seen that possibility. Great imagination, great execution......this is going to be a great model. -
Lathe and spray booth question
iBorg replied to iBorg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I appreciate your thought. One possible layout has them side by side, the other on different walls. Guess that's the winner. -
I think it would be a better possibility from Moebius. Either way I'd love to see it.

Looks nice.....a couple of suggestions.....The interior looks too clean for that amount of damage. Needs some dirt and trash on the seat. Also the dent in the dashboard (neat detail) would either show a light brown for foam rubber under the cover or bare metal with a bit of rust on it. This is going to be a fun build to watch.

I'm trying to get my shop up and going. I have a couple of Sherline lathes and milling machines. I also have a Passche spray booth. Could I put them beside each other is there too much contamination possibilities? Thanks, Mike

2016 Roush Racing Ford Fusion
iBorg replied to Jhedir6's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
Curious question.......could this Ford be transformed into an Xfinity Mustang? -
I have an unopened one I picked up last weekend. I'm still trying to sort through and get a functional shop. The decals are at least usable. I think there's some aftermarket ones around. I think I'm going to go for those. I was seriously hoping they'd do more the slicks. I don't think I'll use those. I have modified those in a lathe and removed the stupid lip on the outside. Makes a huge difference. Bob if you don't have the lit, PM me. I haven't forgotten you and what I need to send you.

I'd love to know what technology Platto uses for his decals. He is unwilling to discuss it.
