  1. I'd like to see those released here.
  2. You're talking about Whoopie Kat decals and Chuck Boerner ( connect via Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/chuck.boerner1/photos?lst=100000173943608%3A100002545154288%3A1498618997&source_ref=pb_friends_tl )
  3. That wasn't what I was expecting when I saw the title 33 Willys. The correct title is "Maybe the best build of the AMT '33 Willys" The front end is difficult to paint correctly.....you nailed it. Overall a great build of a good kit that seems a bit harder to build than it should be.
  4. Wow......very clever solution to a killer problem.
  5. Sweet. I grew up on a farm and that is weathered just like our Ford 9N tractor.
  6. I've ordered it......I'll do a comparison once it comes in.
  7. I have a couple of build ups of the original Garlits RE-1 or SR 14 MPC kit as well as several of the gray goo plastic reissues. Does anyone have the new kit that can compare it to the previous versions? Plus any info on the quality of the decals? I've got several of the earlier reissues nd don't want to buy another unless there's something to gain. THANKS!
  8. I think the scoop is fine. I seem to recall a seven inch height for Super Modified but MP could go a little higher.
  9. It's not that ugly but I have no clue what its supposed to be. Jag, Lister, no clue. Interesting to note its just a body on wheels. Note the empty space through the wheels.
  10. I'm fortunate to have two reasonable shops near me. We had a third but when the patriarch died, the business soon faltered. The shop went from a welcoming shop that served both hobbyists and crafters to on that served neither market well. The two shops, located 15 miles apart are full line hobby shops with a craft range that excels beyond Hobby Lobby. The sad truth is they're nearing retirement age and the wife has told me that the shops will close as they don't believe they can sell at a reasonable price as one large inventory and their children have no interest. When that happens, it will be difficult to keep up with the hobby as I don't make many shows and don't want to order online.
  11. This is one of those kits I keep on hoping to see reissued...... I attempted it when I was 12 or 13 and may have some poorly pieces somewhere in a box. Great build!
  12. If you're willing to pay for shipping, I should be able to pick one up at my local Ollies on Tuesday if no one steps up before then.
  13. I have an open spot on my display case for this......Absolutely tremendous work.
  14. Great photos.....only question is where are all the spectators? That great exhibit deserves a good crowd. It's the type of museum my wife hates.....I could easily be there for hours and want to come back the next day.
  15. Polished plastic? Wow that looks killer. Great job.
  16. Folks if you're trying to get rid of model car related magazines post them up here please. While I'm not interested in most full scale car magazines (unless they're pre 1980), I'm trying to replace my model car magazines. I'm not sure why, but I'd like to have them.....maybe for inspiration?
  17. I agree with the chassis swap. As for your repair......I really need a couple of those Multi Mavericks. That repair is perfect.
  18. Seriously......that Crower looks like it would fire up. Tremendous work.
  19. Wow.........words I can't say.....Wow. Absolutely amazing.
  20. I know where I'm coming to visit. I'll bring my own boxes.
  21. Maybe paint, clear, decal then clear to protect the decals.
  22. What is interesting about this thread is when the stock kit was first released the other magazine named it one of the top kits of the year. Which indicates several possible things. Are we more picky? Did they try to make AMT happy? Or has the overall quality of kits improved?
  23. What about the Camaro in the background?
  24. Go to a well stocked hobby shop that deals with trains. Ask there. I believe they are made by Grandt Line. If you're foing to make them dirty and grungy, I'd go that route instead of the beautiful stuff from RB Motion, plus they'd be a lot cheaper.
