  1. Actually I think you need to go back to the early 70's for good looking Indy cars.
  2. Is it possible to change the name of a topic? I'd like to update a topic in the Trade section.
  3. They're still around......they're recycled into Camaros.
  4. It made a great funny car.
  5. This is more of a textbook than a build. Thanks for sharing! I keep on looking and getting so many ideas how to improve my work.
  6. Wait to their available at Harbor Freight.
  7. Very nice!
  8. I've always thought of this as a hard kit to build. You've done exceptional with it.
  9. The price to ship to Canada has changed drastically over the past ten years as has US rates. At one time I could ship to Canada for a few bucks more than US. Then US Post went to regions. It then cost less to ship to Canada for me on the east coast than the west coast of the US. This is about the same time eBay started wanting you to list shipping prices. To decrease the fraud on shipping (I once saw a motorcycle with a $9.95 starting price and a $24,995 shipping price.....item MUST be shipped), they started taking a percentage of shipping. eBay has made it very hard on individuals to sell. They'd rather you be mass merchant.
  10. I saw these at Ollies and passed over them. Even had it in my shopping cart. My mistake. This is going to gether very nicely.
  11. I think the pics are good to show sinister but they take away from the quality of the build.
  12. Just took a look at the pictures. The decal on the mag is great. Then I looked at the head gaskets. If I didn't know better I'd swear they were cork.
  13. I like hot rods. I like Ferraris. I don't like this.
  14. It looks like a very likely 70’s aero experiment. Looks cool on paper but too heavy to be competitive. Nice work.
  15. I've used Photodelux......that's an impressive outcome.
  16. I have to agree with Gary, the PL Poncho is often dismissed. Yours turned out quite nicely. Can you tell how you printed the decals? I'm guessing Alps, but if they're some other printer more information would be most appreciated.
  17. This looks so much better detailed than a Monogram version of the kit. Curious questions, do the molds still exist? Have you thought about making a set of detail up parts as resin castings for some of the parts to be added to the Mono kits?
  18. If you'd like to add some interest to the upcoming NASCAR racing season, have you considered playing in a fantasy league? I'm the owner of a FOX fantasy group that is played by other modelers. If you'd like to join the group, go to http://www.foxsports.com/fantasy/auto/ and sign up. After you sign up click on Join Group and search for Randy Ayers' Modeling Forum. The password is glue. Come on and let's race!
  19. This has gotten my interested in building a T engine. I agree the AMT engine is a lump. What a great build up.
  20. My first car was a B......a lot of me would love to have another. Darn simple car and seemingly indestructible unless you're young and foolish. I'll have to look out for a copy or two of this car.
  21. I'd love to see the test shots of the AM NASCAR kit. Curious question, if the test shots were made, how close was the real kit and where are the molds? As for 1320 kits, they did a few, basically unassembled die-casts with a bit lower detail. I still look for 1320 die-casts for my collection. Hard to find but worth it.
  22. What's the detail like in this kit? It seems large scale is much more hit or miss than 1/25th.
  23. I've often wondered if the race sponsorship caused the chain to fail or was the sponsorship a last ditch effort to attract attention to prevent Helig-Myers from failing.
  24. Both Don Prudhomme and Rick Hendrick want you to make them a copy.....what will you do?
