  1. With Bigfoot's connection with Ford, that would surprise me.
  2. A not so great version without the Donovan lettering is in the AMT Trojan Horse Mustang II. I'm not aware of anyone making a better one in resin.
  3. How close are the GMP tires and wheels to 1/16?
  4. Can you share what printer you used? Mike
  5. Superglue a filler piece and resand it.
  6. The biggest problems of cutting resin is the dust is harmful, you need to wear breathing protection (although most don't) and that body is not smooth inside which means you'll have to prep it by sanding. Also, that coupe in the background looks killer.
  7. Flintstone body?
  8. Looks like an absolute LeMon. All that is lacking is significant body damage. Guess this one hasn't been ran for 24 hours.
  9. If I judge, and have a couple of times, the wrong designation would effect my decision. A gasser has a stock based or rectangular frame. Period. A round tube frame throws the car into an altered class. Likewise a mid 60's funny car would not car the AA/FC tag. That came about in either '70 or 71. No pre '68 car would be a pro stock. That class came about in 1970 and allowed two year old cars to compete. The gasser tags are a bit harder. NHRA changed those through out the 60's. Likewise a modified sports car was moved into gasser or altered depending on the frame in the late 60's. Rivet counting? Maybe, but why spend hours to super detail an engine and have such a simple faux pas.
  10. The Spirit body, stock has way too much pitch to it and the wheel openings are too shallow. It could be reworked but before I did, I think I'd scratch build the shape.
  11. The Spirit body just seems fake compared to either of the other two. Without the rivets, its a much better piece than the previous wedges. I'd love to have the AMT wedge also. The Spirit body is pretty useless to me. On a side note, what's the wheelbase difference in the Ivo vs. Garlits chassis? Hopefully this will sell well and Round 2 will resissue the Ivo streamliner.
  12. I really can't say much about this one......http://www.ebay.com/itm/1948-Anglia-Model-Pro-Built-Truck-Parts-1-24-Junkyard-Vintage-Lot-5/182448046820?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D45701%26meid%3Df08acbe88717400b8e52b0b8613cdc26%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D253063473653
  13. I agree with you, either the MPC or the AMT chassis would be wrong for this car. I do think changing the roll cage structure would make it passable. To get the right wheelbase could you merge the wedge panels with the Revell chassis and body panels? The chassis would still be wrong. Hopefully my preorder will be in next week.
  14. Here's Reound 2's description. http://www.collectormodel.com/amt/3470-don-prudhommes-radical-wedge-dragster-hits-the-track-from-amt/#sthash.aHr7YogI.dpbs Drew could you possibly be mistaken?
  15. This uses the Garlits kit and not the AMT Wedge reissued in December? That's bizarre.
  16. Yes......absolutely a 50's build idea. Nicely executed.
  17. Did you check Model Car Garage? They may make what you're looking for.
  18. I agree......it really had made searching for old info difficult. Weird thing is they still show up in a Google search.
  19. I have a new display case that's almost empty......sure I have a shelf for that. Mercy that's beautiful.
  20. Ebay has combined shipping charges with the final value for several years. Ebay also forces sellers (strongly encourage) to use either free shipping or a fixed shipping charge. Depending on where you're located this is practical. For example if you're in the middle of the country, this works. If you're on the coast, the post adds distance to weight. The end result I can ship three states away for one fee but killed shipping to the other coast. Large shippers get discounts based upon volume. I bet Tower ships more in a day than I will in two lifetimes. Therefore, they get a lot better price. I agree shipping charges are a factor......I've passed on a lot of five or ten dollar items due to $20 shipping. I understand why the shipping is so high, I just chose not to pay it. Very few things in hobbies do I NEED, just want.
  21. Legally, I can't see the free users having any legal grounds for suit. A typical contract includes consideration, typically a payment of some kind, for an action. The action was hosting images. Free is not consideration.
  22. I love it! It may have the plague, but its well represented!
  23. Several interesting possibilities..... 1953 Chevy Bel air 3'n1-Monogram again or a new mold using parts of the Olds? Baja Bronco-I really want to see this. Is this a serious kit or just the current Bronco with different tires 1929 Model A roaster-wonder if there will be any changes. ZZ top Eliminator-anyone want a deal on an original unopened kit? 1985 olds 442 show car- Hmmmmmmmmm 1980 Jeep honcho ice patrol-its been bringing big money......was bringing big money 1978 GMC pickup-not my bag Dave Deal's wheels Baja Humbug-guess my original lost its value.
  24. This is one of those kits I bet over half were not completed and at least a quarter thrown against the wall. A very nice build of a VERY challenging kit.
