  1. I know Revell released the Liberty Classic engines as kits. I snagged a hemi but missed the SOHC Ford. I can still find the assembled motors. My question is this, how hard is it to tear one of these down to add personal details and put it back together? Thanks! Mike
  2. I won't be surprised to see the Wedge reissued a couple of times. The Garlits RE-1 is out as Prudhomme's Yellow Feather. When this was first announced I predicted the Prudhomme wedge. Not a very succesful car (all wedges didn't perform as well as hoped). I'll go on record again.....Round 2 will release a Prudhomme wedge. Proof? Look at the new body and the attached pictures. The rear is almost a perfect match. The bottom of the wedge does appear to have too much of an angle too it. That's the only fault there. The exhausts started being under the body like a funny car but was moved in an effort to improve the car. The front spoiler appears very close to correct. I wonder when this version will ship. Either way, I'll end up with both of them. If Round2 releases the wedge and the Ivo versions, they're going to get more of my money.
  3. Mercy.....another idea to steal.....I mean borrow. Where did you get the rivets? Another killer detail on a killer model.
  4. Heck.....I'll take the kit off of your hands......'tis a grail for me.
  5. The best way to improve this model is once finished, put it in my display cabinet.
  6. Remember you rock on a porch, you rock out in a Porsche. Now if they'd do the same thing for Audi.....Is Oddie, Outie or ahhhhdie?
  7. You're so right. It always gets me going when people post any of the Revell gassers (except the Thames and Anglia) that had the round tube chassis and call them gassers. Round tube chassis were not class legal in the sixties. Those were for the "hot cars" like altereds. I love your build. Did this start with a die-cast body? Its a great build.
  8. I'd be tempted if I had a spare Revell body to merge it with the MPC. I first thought you were wrong about the windows and then did a search......the Revell windows really are tiny compared to thre real car.
  9. I've always had a love hate relationship with the Revell Beretta. Some of the lines look so good but some are "funky" to allow it to fit on the J2000 chassis. You've corrected those. Also I really like the work on the chassis. This one is worthy of watching.
  10. Go for it!
  11. Mercy......you keep amazing me. Every page I either learn something or believe it can't get any better......and it does.
  12. I'm in the same boat of building a 1:1 work area. The cabinets look awesome. I agree with there being some ideas to steal. The enclosed compressor may be a good sound deadener. I'm also interested in how well your spray booth works.
  13. Nope.....the Ford wore a bowtie.
  14. Absolutely beautiful build. Stunning visuals. The simulated soft top is killer.
  15. I remember going to the Sportsnsationals in Bowling Green in the mid 70's and almost lost it when I saw this car driving down a side road. I don't know if it was going to a trailer or what but totally freaked out. Couldn't convince my Dad to turn around and give it chase.
  16. There are so many great things about this build. I keep on seeing so many things I want to attempt. One comment, it seems like every retail piece has a nut, the u-bolts need their nuts.
  17. It will be curious to see how they hold up to road use and UV exposure. If they did, you hit more than a home run but a game winning grand slam in the ninth. Very nice use of the skills you've gained playing with toy cars....:)
  18. You've got to be kidding me......every time I see the bar raised and think it can't get any better I see something like this clutch pack. MERCY! that's good.
  19. This is so killer.....yet another builder I'd like to spend time with learning.
  20. The Honda ATC70 has been at HL already.
  21. I walked into an Ames Department Store and they had Don Garlits Wynns Jammers for something like $2.79 each. I loved the kit in the sixites and could ignore the ugly black box art. I bought 18 of them.
  22. Are those t-tops? Cool beans
  23. Very nice. That's not the easiest kit to finish, let alone to make look good.
  24. Got to say Marty ie PARTSMARTY holds his end up well also.....type of person I like to trade with.
  25. How'd you cut this? X-Acto knife, string, black magic?
