  1. Who made the chassis pre-built chassis? Curious what it looks like with the Mob body. Could be an interesting build of a newstalgia altered.
  2. Got my end of a trade with DerthDeboblo (Ben Pewterbaugh). I think we're both happy with our ends. Good communication, good shipping. Thanks!
  3. The car at one time was in Canada. I don't know where it is today. The old SLM newsgroup had pictures of it at the time as it awaited restoration. I can post those if desired. I agree about using either the Piranha or a rear engined dragster. The Piranha would need narrowed. The right rear engined car, maybe the MPC Garlits kit, might be a pretty good choice. Both would require a new roll cage.
  4. One of many on my I'd like to build list. Very nicely done...... A f question, if you will: Comp Resins offerers both a front and rear engine 'cuda body. Were there really any differences in the body Jim Dunn used than a front motored car?
  5. I remember this car well.....you did a great model of a great car.
  6. Rare I'd faint if I found one in a thrift shop. Less than $75, and you got a huge deal.
  7. Mercy this build is amazing. The blower belt is fantastic. The underbody detail is ..................sorry don't have words.
  8. What's Cab O Sil? The lines look very well done.
  9. You need to do a group search.
  10. A quick bump. The 2016 season starts in a couple of days.
  11. Haas took a sensible approach to doing a nonsensical thing. I think the task of starting from scratch would eat so much money and be limited by available talent, that his approach makes sense. I think it is the best approach to avoid being the next failed US F1 team. I wish them luck, they'll need it.
  12. One of these days, I hope to get an invite to the hills of WV. I think I could learn a lot from you.
  13. The 2016 Nascar season is quickly approaching. As in years previous, Fox Sports is running a Nascar fantasy series that allows you to have a stronger interest in the racing week in and week out. If you'd like to join a modeling group, please consider joining the Randy Ayers group at http://www.foxsports.com/fantasy/auto/help/ If it requires a password, it is "glue" One helpful hint, read the instructions! There's a couple of quirks that makes it more than chosing the five drivers you thing that are going to finish the highest.
  14. Gerald's color choices are a pretty good match for period color magazine articles. SS/DI had a great article on this car.
  15. Enjoy! I tried to get my son into models. He'll buzz through a die-cast but never has finished a glue kit. Now that he's seventeen he's into real cars and girls.
  16. Your stuff is pretty good. The speedster is quite nice. I'd like to see a in-progress build of the altered.
  17. Not the overall appearance but the do-dads. Although if you were take the wings etc. off yours it could be an interesting to start for a street rod.
  18. Try Evergreen Plastic. The tube will hold shape with a brass rod inside. I've bent the rod by using a metal jig and magnetics to hold it in place and then heating it to hold shape. The trick is heating it enough to hold the shape and not melt it. Mike
  19. Absolutely brilliant.
  20. I really like the Tumbler......really want the model. This just looks too much like the Batmobile from the Clooney Batman and Robin car. Way too many add on do-dads to look functional.
  21. Slixx doesn't show them, but they're on the auction site. If you don't get those, the kit has been re-released a number of times. I'd get a newer set. The box is forty years old. If the decals are, they won't work.
  22. A few thoughts..... Slixx has replacement decals. I'd use those. Put them with your hand artwork and it should be killer! There are several posts on the board that shows how to lower the car, its not hard but well worth the effort. I would also try to find some bigger slicks. That rear wheel well is huge compared to the tires.
  23. This is a pretty good place. Welcome!
  24. I hope this kit shows up at Hobby Lobby or my local hobby shop soon. The build ups of this kit are really nice.
  25. I looked at Model Meister for the Webers.....I couldn't find them. Mike
