Thanks, for that info. I'll keep it in mind if I build another one. I already have in in primer and red paint. So, I guess I got lucky on that one. lol I'd like to do a V8 conversion and RWD kind of street strip and see how that turns out. -

They make in on red too. Stock, not a police vehicle. I got one so I could make my old red 03 van out of it. -
More than welcome. Yeah, it takes a lot of sanding. Something I don't care much for. lol

Glad it worked out for you.

I used medium. From Hobby Lobby.

I fixed three bodies for a friend of mine. One was really bad. I just filled them with c/a glue and sanded them down when it dried. Worked great and the glue just flows where it needs to go. I'd try that again if the need comes up.

Arca Car w.i.p

Looks good. Next time when you do the yellow stripe on the tires, line it up with a lug nut. That stripe is what the pit crew uses to line up the lugs and put the tires on so fast. Can't stand the new cars with the single Indy wheel type lug nut. Looks good though. I like it. -
Firestone Drag 500's. Pad printed that I found on e bay.

69 Torino finished(almost)

Yes, he put them upside down. Bottom of the number faces the driver's door and some are set at angles. But it's made so the score keeper can read the roof numbers from the pit road side of the track. -
Welcome, anytime. I might have a set of front wheels and tires left over from the SWC Willy's if you want them. I know I don't have the rears.
-
Wheels and tires from the Stones Woods and Cook Willy's coupe would be pretty close to those in the pics too. Hope that helps.

You can get a small tubing cutter from Wal Mart, Advance Auto, AutoZone, Harbor Freight, Hobby Lobby, etc. etc. Not hard to find. -
That's a great looking DOH Plymouth you have there.

Most run the black wheels, but the green goes with the paint job. -

Looking good. Your air filter is backwards though. That's a shield to protect the filter from dirt and hot air off the rad and water if it leaks. NASCAR used them that way to take in air off the windshield cause it's a high pressure point on those cars. What I like about it is the drilled grill and the bend on the side skirts like so many of those cars run. I ran dirt for years before going asphalt and road courses. -
More than welcome. Just tryin to help out. Early Mopars used black caps and wires. Then they phased in the tan caps with black wires then they phased in the orange wires later on. Then in the 80's went back to black and black and stayed that way till the end.

Looking good. Get the Alt. from the Revell 68 Charger kit. IT has a bracket on it already. Just dechrome it and paint the bracket black with an aluminum alt. And here's what you want for a dist. 8 Cylinder Tan Cap - Morgan Automotive Detail (madmodeling.com) Tan cap orange wires are factory for that year. After you start using these, you will never drill a dist. again. Only thing you need to add to these are the vacuum advance to it. Model Car Garage has them, but you can cut them off kit dist. if you find a good one like in the Charger kit I mentioned above.
