I'll send ya an e mail. IF you notice though, I'm a Dodge man. And the black car is an Aspen R/T and the one on the trailer is a Plymouth Road Runner. My brother and I practically built the Road Runner in 60 days including hauling the hulled out body home. It got a new engine and trans, but everything that was usable came back out of the black car except the new roll cage. Black car was totaled one night.

I thought I'd throw it on here in case someone else wants it for reference. But we can stay in touch. You'll notice in that last pic the fuel pump has been moved. That's to keep from knocking it off in case of a wreck on the right front. Chevy's were bad about catching fire when the frame was damaged and knocked the fuel pump off the engine. How about one of the Dodges on the dyno in person. Over 700 hp and almost 9000 rpm. Enjoy.

Sorry, my bad. That is the rear bowl. Line goes on the right side of the pic. You can see the threads in it. No threads on the other side.

The line to the fire wall goes to the fuel pressure gauge on the dash. The two small lines off the logs go to the side of the raised end on the fuel bowl. You got the angle right, just need to be on the end of the bowl. And you got the other end to the fuel pump. You can see in that pic where the fuel line goes on the the left side of the pic. I started out drag racing as a kid and went to DIRT for several years and then moved to the NASCAR G.N Sportsman Div. Still build any kind of race car you want in the shop if you have the cash and still race my old cars too. Atlanta is as rough as a number 2 wash board and Disney Speedway is a fun short track to run on at around 150.

Looks good. Like the fuel log too. Next time, just move the lines out to the ends of the fuel bowls. He was an owner/op with the heart and drive of a champion. Alan deserved that trophy. Too bad he along with many others were taken wayyy to early in there life time. I would have loved to see if Adam could have matched the King in some way. Too many to list that was taken way to early.

LOL!! You said it there. I have a few projects that need headers and I wished I could do that to them too.

Tell me about it. I have a stroked big block Duster with fenderwells,as if there was any other choice. I'd like to run a taller tire for more roll out, but that aint gonna happen. If I raised the front for more clearance that would just cause more handling and traction problems, so I can't do that anyways. Sometimes your just stuck with what ya got.

Those headers look like they hang down just like the ones I posted a pic of. Wonder if they are the same. lol Could not get that lucky could I.

It's the right side you need to worry about. In the day, and present too (at least on the dirt tracks) you run a smaller LF than the RF. Makes the weight and heat balance out that way. You do it to try and make the LF actually do some work. With the tall RF and the body roll or counter steering, that is the side I would worry about making contact. Looks great. Check out the Stones,Woods, and Cook Willy's. It has fender well type headers that you might be able to make work on it. Hard to say really without finding a pair and giving it a try.

I have a fave black paint I like to use. It's pretty hot too. On some plastic it has no effect and then on some it makes it very soft and flexible. I found out I just had to primer it to make sure it did not hurt what ever I wanted to paint with it. No matter if it's the chassis floor, body or just little parts, it gets primer now. You may want to do the same if you did not do that already.

Yours does look different in size. lol. Also, the shafts are crooked on one end too. I also found what they called the coil too. It's on the chrome tree. The number escapes me at the moment though. It should be aluminum instead of chrome though. It looks like a stock coil with an aluminum heat sink can wrapped around it.

The carb in question is a Dominator and it is not a spread bore. It's a large square bore. The fuel lines do enter the front of the bowl, just not straight in. They angle downwards and should mount from the right side. Back in the day, if you want to make it into a NASCAR type stock car, it would not have braided hoses. Just high temp/pressure hoses which I will assume is what they are trying to mimic with the black hose for fuel and cooler lines. I'm going to try and rework my carb and make it correct and if I have room add a spacer under it and correct the linkage and add the vent tubes to the top of it. If you could find a scrap Petty GP car in 16 you could use the chrome 3 piece aircleaner from that kit. You would have to dechrome the filter part and paint it and off white I guess.

You are missing out on a great man with an unmatched career. True champion of the sport and made NASCAR what it is today. I was lucky enough to walk through his shop when they were running the Magnum.When I send that hood out to you, I can let you borrow a couple dvd's if you'll treat them like gold. lol

You are correct. Did you also know that Mopar was so worried about losing these engines in a plane crash that they shipped all of them from Detroit to FLA by truck?
