  1. What laws in Texas do you guys have that makes it illegal to drive vintage cars on the road???? We are lucky here in hillbilly land. $20 for a car tag that lasts 10 years. Super cheap insurance and a number of state senators that are car guys. I drove my 66 Mustang GT350 clone today in fact......
  2. Me too.......wish we had gotten some kind of models from the film. I have a Taxi in resin in 1/16 scale.....but it's one solid block with so-so decals.
  3. Just try it and see if you like it.....alcohol removes it in a wipe if you don't. I use it and Tamiya clear red.
  4. Another cool build!
  5. The only one I'd call iconic is Drag-u-la....and it ain't no Batmobile (66).
  6. Engine builders and manufactures can still make a difference. A sealed spec engine is still not the answer IMHO ONLY..... A modern engine builder can still tune with balance, weight, reliability.
  7. And having trouble getting full fields and full time teams. They are now the discount try out series.
  8. I'd like to see some early teens/twentys American truck kits. Back in the early 1960's Dad worked for Valvoline in Los Angles. In there office were photos of all their trucks each year. I thought the early 1910-1920 trucks were cool.
  9. JNJ did a 69 fastback body in NASCAR form and a conversion kit for the AMT Torino that was a bumper, grille and hood. Either could be a start but never saw a stock fastback or notch Montego.
  10. I love obscure....that's beyond obscure!!!! Great craftsmanship!!!
  11. Truck series has a spec engine available....not required...yet. Like I said.....go to a spec engine in Cup.....if that's the way to save the series......but Ford and Toyota will bail day one.....a ll Camaro seies...COOL......oh wait.... the Camaro is bailing too??????
  12. Thanks for confirming my earlier post. I too worked in NASCAR from the 1980's until late 1990's. I don't care if they go to a spec motor....it worked so well for ASA right??? Remember ASA?? Started getting TV coverage, model kits created....folks knew the drivers and tracks......now I don't know if they are still around....and don't care as all the cars run the same Chevy engine. NASCAR can go spec chassis and engine and be lucky to draw 500 folks to a race. IMHO ONLY.
  13. Dump truck, Plow truck....whats the 3rd version??? As the tooling stand last issue you could build dump, plow or tractor....it had 5th wheel on trre.
  14. Pick-up kits sell well.....so if it's out there....no brainer. Wasn't it last issued as short bed pink-ish on box top??
  15. I was hoping it was the REAL Elanor Mustang........
  16. I'd say you did pretty well. I too like this kit. I've built the Lemon car and the Corp Blue....up next is green. I had to make my own headlight masks decals and rear quarter 'Plymouth' logos.....if anyone needs a set PM me. My kit decals were junk.
  17. Kool build......on my long, long to do list.
  18. One of my favorite Cup bodies.....maybe as it's so rare!! NICE
  19. R2 needs box top for T-635 to scan for reissue. If you have on to loan, you get it back, PM me and I'll hook you up.
  20. R2 needs an original box to scan and use for the reissue. It will be the dump truck with plow....I'll get one!
  21. Go to a spec single engine supplier and see Ford and Toyota bail...they have committed to that already. A Mustang 'winning' the Daytona 500 with a Chevy based engine.....will not happen.
  22. Jimmy Means says it will drive him out of the series. And Jimmy say been in racing since the 70's.
  23. Just moving NASCAR further from it's roots and fans.
  24. Future floor shine.....now called Pledge something......used it since 1983.
