  1. First......Thanks Bruce for posting this....I wanted one but good to see inside. Tires can be painted with Tamiya spray flats. I use white primer to make wide whites. I'd test it...but gray primer might work well. PS.....anyone think about a hot rod version like Revell Meter Cheater???
  2. Very good!!! I say inspired as I was to lazy to chop top....
  3. Things can be done with it......... Inspired by a goth girl's ride. Funny Monogram didn't do anything with it....I like the kit.
  4. Maybe R2 should find that snap CJ-7 and RX-7 kits????
  5. Great build!!! I'd gone with black plug wires...minor pick....
  6. Never had any of the 1/24 trailer kits.....how do they look with 1/25 cabs???
  7. These are Indycals decals. I really like them and have a bunch. Indycals just released a set of MOMO Porsche decals I just got this week.
  8. I like that car......I'll be watching.
  9. Agreed!! but I can live with it.....I'm having fun building 'close enough for me' after years of 1 or 2 contest models a year. I've built 20 kits this year.....for fun.
  10. We still miss ours......... but I like yours!!!! I do have this one as backup!!!
  11. Ford Coyotes are being put in a lot of cars....GM included!!! We wanted to buy back my son's Mustang when he was rear ended.....but insurance would not allow.....knowing they could sell it for big $$$$ One Friday.... the next Saturday morning....
  12. Thanks....but knew that......saying I'll make do with.......my SCCA and IMSA days on crew taught me the difference. And btw....I realize it's only a model....not real car in case anyone was wondering......
  13. HLJ is where I have to go when I want other brand kits my LHS does not carry....well aware of them. $34 is lots closer to a maybe buy. Delivered is still close to $50.....guess I'm to old to think that's a great deal. OP said 'dollars' so I assumed dollars over pounds.....just me.....
  14. First post says $70 plus postage is MUCH closer to $100 than $25.....using my hillbilly math anyway. We are down to one hobby shop in West Virginia and while run by a great guy he doesn't even carry Tamiya car kits....kinda doubt I can walk in there and get this one. I'll pass on hunting this one down and paying that much. My choice.......
  15. I like it!!!! You did well. I just finished a ground up resto on my 66 Mustang......started the process in 1987....so you did well as they can drag out!!
  16. Really glad to see a new 935.....just as sad I'll not get one. For $25 total I get by with AMT kit and Scale Coachworks decals.......just noticed I yet to finish the wheels. Kits nearing the $100 mark is the norm now....
  17. Great diorama work! Love it!!
  18. Weather he does or not....... the kit is very generic. The running lights and tread plate bumper on my shorty were added by myself. Detail is simple but decent. I like the kit for it's flexibility and just something different. I say the kit is a great starting point.
  19. My dealer sold out instantly....I'll have to wait on 2nd round.
  20. Nice work on a subject we don't see often.
  21. Most states use 25 years to qualify. A few states are moving to 30 years. We are lucky here.....I talk to one of our state senators, when I sent a photo of my 66 Mustang and in the background you could just see part of the rear end of my 74 AMC Matador he commented on how rare they are....he really knows cars....good to have guys like him as a law maker.
  22. Your post brings up a question for me....... The 'Road Knights' logo on that left front windshield is from a model club that was founded by myself and a few others in Charlotte NC. I helped design that logo....but how did it end up on a truck model so far away??? Lots of weird going on with that model.
  23. I am a SEMA member and they have been sending us info about a number of state trying to regulate VW based dune buggys, like Manx, out of street legal class. Only car class I know of under fire currently.
