  1. Stopped at my HL today..........plastic area reset.....plastic had the same space as before. Mine did have Atlantis kits on the shelf...but none I wanted. Did pick up 68 Chevelle,......new to me.
  2. Coming out pretty well considering how difficult the decals are.
  3. The ugly stick worked overtime on this one......BTW why in the world do they call the Xfinity series Toyota called a Supra??? The race car is twice the size of the street...not even close. The kit will be nice....it's Tamiya....but wish they had spent the investment on something else.
  4. My HL is 1.75 hour drive.....love to have one closer....
  5. Thanks for that......wondered if they were still going to do it after bankruptcy.....
  6. I order chrome spray from 'Bombing Science' online. Owner says it's Molotow in a can. I love it an am on my 2nd 600 ml can....check it out.
  7. I like those big Mopars....you did well....engine bay is nice and neat.
  8. I mask window stainless and use Molotow spray can....works well for me.
  9. IMHO we have hit the high water mark for 1960's era kits and are on the downside. Think about the age factor.....early 1960's was right at 60 years ago!!!! Teens of the era are passing and collections are coming on market.....a market that is slim at best. My best buddy got 4 models off ebay in the last two weeks that 20 years ago each would have sold for more than he paid for all of them. Good unbuilt kits. It happened 20 years ago with Lionel trains....huge collections came up for sale as owners passed.....market demand was low....prices fell like a rock. The model values, for the most part, have not hit bottom yet. I have 5000+ kits in the stash......lots of guys do....when these all come to a small market......ugh
  10. Nice work on a kit I'd call a challenging build.........I know I built 3 for AM back in the day.
  11. Very cool!!! I have a Tilt version of that car....wondered what to do with it.
  12. You have a better hand and eye than us old folk ....they look great.
  13. I like Duplicolor primer sealer #1699 under Duplicolor.
  14. I don't recall S&H calling the Torino 'tomato' in the movie.......think it was in the TV show they did...
  15. Nice tomato!!!!
  16. I bought everything I could afford.........unlimited funds I bought 95% of their catalog!
  17. If that is the Coke Levi machine they made a bunch of and gave away...I'm in!
  18. Never got to the tooling stage. R&D work had been done but never got any further. My brother in law was the art director and helped with R&D at AM II in Concord. If you have their B-25 I packaged it!!! The AM NASCAR Taurus tooling was completed....but by the time it was done the bubble had busted. See it here:https://public.fotki.com/DaveVan51/accurate-miniatures/ BACK ON topic....while cleaning the model room I found two bags of wheels and tires I bought from Don but had misplaced!! It was like Christmas!
  19. Cool spin!!!
  20. About as well done as any I've seen. Isn't the kit listed as 1/18??? That's the reason I've passed om getting one.
  21. Indycals is great to deal with....good decals and service.
  22. good little show last year...hope to attend!
  23. Thanks for the info. As a retired Sr system analyst I understand how much work it is.
  24. I just finished the two Monogram Ford GTP front engine kits. While working on them I watched the IMSA race from Road America. The GTP cars are all ugly looking 'things'. Nothing like the old Probe, XJR-5 or even 962......all of which I have built or on the 'to do' list. New production car based kits would be cool.
  25. I'm designing that Capri right now. The front end is easy.......that back hatch and glass is tougher. I think Randy Derr did one....I may need to contact him and ask if he still has the buck for that rear glass. Thx
