  1. Neither of these happened after the ownership change at R2 (RC2) R2 does not allow private issues any longer......
  2. Changing the wheels and tires really helped. Nice work. Dad knew TV Tommy through his job with Valvoline racing oil in So Cal 1960's. Only race driver that ever impressed my Mom!!!
  3. FYI the WB of the Revell Torino and the JoHan 72 is different. Not sure why....did not check which is correct. This is a MPC stock car body on a junker JoHan promo chassis.....inspired by Clint's....
  4. Thanks....brain cramp....I have a sell sheet around here somewhere....
  5. That is really cool!!!!!!!
  6. When I did a lot of contest judging neatness was a major factor.....a messy high detailed model would loose out to a model that was super neat with basic added detail.......yours is what I looked for. Nice work. I was lucky enough to provide some input on this re-issue....happy to see it built.
  7. R&D work was done and kit announced by the company that imported Aorshima kits and offered tires too......the name I can't recall right now....CRS. Needless to say it never happened.
  8. Nice & neat!
  9. Cool...reminds me of Honest Engine Tom Daniel design!
  10. Your interior work is great. I may like this kit much more than the average modeler. I wanted one the first time I saw it on the original TV show. It was a long wait but happy it finally got here. Revell did a decent job on the kit......somewhere between a high detail kit and a die cast (rumored for years) I built the 'tomato' the first day I got my hands on it. Second build was a Bill Elliott NASCAR version. I have a few more builds planned......
  11. Interesting for sure. LEGO makes a pilot (cow catcher) that might be a better choice.....smaller than the General pilot. Check Brick Owl or ebay for it alone. (so you don't have to buy a set)
  12. Wondered if anyone else was old enough to remember the Vette in space from the film. That was my first thought!!
  13. Kinda been there....had a 10 day hospital stay....felt OK but needed hourly monitoring for some Meds. So I had my wife bring me some of those AMT pre-painted kits. Had to hide the X-acto cause I was in there for an infection and wasn't supposed to have anything like that around me. Hope it works out for him....it did for me.
  14. Yep.....even in Charlotte NC we were locked in for 3 days....a big city with almost zero plows.....
  15. It's going to vary greatly per store.... HL manager makes the call.
  16. I use a coat of Vaseline between pours......always works. You'll have to cut it apart now.
  17. As I said your work is outstanding.....just so happens you found someone who grew up in the Valvoline company. Google 'vintage Valvoline logo' and you can find a correct one and maybe overlay.....but as you said...I'm the only one that saw it!!!!
  18. Nice work!!
  19. They are just looking out for your well being!!!
  20. Fantastic work overall. The figures are great......my 1/25 scale figures do not look as good. One nick picking problem......the 'Valvoline' logo is from the 1990's. I only note because my Dad was head of Valvoline Oik racing in the 1960-70;s and know their logos. thx
  21. Thanks.....I like movie/TV cars and conversions like this...well done but looks factory (kit) stock.
  22. Love this kind of stuff.......more details on the changes plez!!
