Let's crowdfund and buy Revell!!! -
Sorry for your losses. My cat Red had a scare last week.....acted like he was chocking.....$1100 later they are not sure what happened but he went from 'put him down' to a 100% in 4 days....happy to have him back...no matter the $$$ Maybe rescue another cat in a few months.......thxs for caring for them for years.

iBorg has it right. The MPC 34 Ford, Pinto, Vega and 37 Chevy were what I call Southern modified using 57 Chevy chassis and BBC motor no matter the make of body.
-
RC2 clone a stock 69 Torino body for the reissue of the street car....both still exist. The Gremlin was a Toby Tobias tube chassis NE modified and the body was a highly modified custom body and was never a stock Gremlin. It's a 5 piece assembly.

Just a heads up about '58 Edsel.....
Dave Van replied to JollySipper's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Doubt it's all of them.......R2 most times get a case via air freight to check out before hand.....or they did at one time. If you know how the Chinese manufacture in the batch methods I can see a bagged body being left behind and thrown in the next run of kits. -
Plez show us how....I need a set of weed burners for Ivo's mid 60's FE rail!!!

Moebius Models Under New Ownership

Don't judge Pegasus by their website for sure. I've been to their store in So Cal.......top 5 store of all time. And the folks behind Pegasus are good too. So between their work and first hand info....I think it will be OK. -
How I used the 57 Ford side pipes........ So I may pick up a set....
-
All Moebius Aurora reissues were cloned tooling....IE copies of old kits. I do not know for sure about the PL but my understanding is they are cloned too.
-
I like F1, Tamiya kits and Lotus....so I'll be watching.....nice work!

Moebius Models Under New Ownership
Dave Van replied to martinfan5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Most of us know the wheels, tires and low rider items. Most other stuff is Sci-Fi and military. Link http://pegasushobbies.net/catalog/Models-Sci-fi-Model-Kits/c107_47/index.html?osCsid=m2d180ah2s50g2sko8oug8vs26 here is one of their buildings in progress.... -

In case some do not know....Pegasus manufactures a large number of kits themselves. The vast majority as nice as Moebius' stuff. -
A super rare car and model!!! Only problem is we need more photos!!!

Monogram bought the assets of Aurora when they went under. The Monogram Jag XKE, Austin Martin and 250 GTO were all Autoa molds. All the PL 'Aurora' kits were clones of the original molds.
-
I want a 2001 Discovery.......but that $$$$$.....WOW. There are 4- 5 other new Moebius I want too.....
-
I could see running the Aurora 1/16 stuff if you had access to the molds and they were in good shape. Cutting new molds??? NO....But don't forget Monogram had bought the Aurora molds.....and they are in trouble....so leasing molds they have no plans for could happen. And the old Aurora train wreck molds story.....even a top man at Monogram at the time says he didn't know what all they ended up owning....no hard inventory had been done at the time. Who knows???

Very nice work!!! As a model railroader I like structures too...

Been busy on the Sci-Fi end somewhat....
