  1. Mine had a ton of Manx.......odd how they don't try to even it out....but that cost time=$
  2. Wish mine had Gremlins.......grass is always greener......
  3. They sell them at $8 because I am sure they bought them as a lot....maybe from a distributor, why we have 2010-2012 kits, or foreclosure bankruptcy or similar. They are still making $$$$ If I had to guess I'd bet they paid less then $5 a kit.....maybe a lot less.
  4. 14 but it may get changed before I'm 'done'.....
  5. Traveled the 1.5 hours to my nearest store. It paid off pretty good. I wanted a Little Red Wagon but they had none. But I still found a basket full. My store had a 8 x 8 foot isle gondola full from the floor to about 6 plus feet. LOTS of stuff for sure!!! On a side note the woman a the check out said they'd been selling all day as fast as anything new in the store. Another shopper said she had bought 6 kits for her husband and other at the local VA hospital. Things I didn't get.....Revell Ferraris other than the 360 I got, F-150, Revell 55 Chevy soft top, Lindberg 71 Mustang, Revell Magnum, 70 Challenger, space shuttles and dinosaurs. My haul....... PS Surf Woody came from Hobby Lobby......GREAT updated reissue with new tires, diorama, book, two colors glass....nice!!
  6. Pretty much says it all.........Dad worked with Ivo and I want to build a few of his rides......
  7. Very nice work!!!!! I think that is a great kit......
  8. Deb's closed in about 2002 or so when the owner died. The list of hobby shops in Charlotte no longer there is very long........ Science Hobby, Modelers Hobby, Trains LTR, two Hobbytowns, Whistle stop Hobby, Toy Circus, Toy Castle, a few others and 2 in Monroe and two in Gastonia....all gone. Sad.
  9. A bit off topic....but I lived in Mint Hill 1979 - 2002 near that store........ I worked at Deb's Model Car Emporium if you are that old!!!
  10. They are a matte aluminum right now....and plan to leave them as such for now.....thx
  11. Pre Revell new tool plastic body.......
  12. I have owned this Mustang since Jan 1975. It was my daily driver until late 1980's when the clutch went out. The car was taken apart with plans for a full on restoration. But kids, life, work and things got in the way. Then caught in a flood during hurricane Danny the car sat until last Sept when we decided to sell it or restore her...... She came home last Friday....still little detail things to do...but up and running again.......thx
  13. Better late than never!!!!! I did these a while back for Gofer Racing decals.......might work well.....
  14. I could care less he does it....wish I didn't have to wade through his listings.
  15. Gasser wagon????? GREAT marketing......and getting the most for your tooling cost from the wagon......Plus many will buy the gasser for parts when they'd not buy the wagon.......perfect from a biz perspective!!!
  16. Converting a Circus/Dragon Wagon back to hangman has one issue.......the missing cab roof. And it's so oddly shaped a tough one to scratchbuild. I supplied my vintage Dragon kit to Revell so they could clone it.
  17. Not all Revell's fault. B o s c h is difficult to work with....wanting big bucks. Other can be the same. MANY companies still look at copyright protection as a profit center.
  18. Per Revell the Vette and 70 Charger are both NEW tools!!! The 57 Ford will have lots f gasser goodies like straight axle etc.
  19. How about a Land Rover reissue now????? A one time kit.....
  20. I think you are right.....the Monogram was yellow on the box and had the same 'add on' that glued to the trunk area. May have been 'Hatch-something......any rate retooled a number of times...
  21. I'd buy the TD Vette too......but fear it is lost by being retooled many times......Vette Van was the first IIRC...
  22. Wish they'd dip into other Tom Daniel design kits that have not been done in years...... Rat Vega, Posion Pinto, Honest Engine, Unreel Roller, Trick T etc etc Like to see the old grille done for the Ramcharger.....this was a good ole truck....shouldn't have sold it.
  23. The Bronco like 2 door early SUV.....I had a 1/1 and was a great truck.
