I like the scammers that leave a message that sounds like a cross of Yoda, Tarzan and Frankenstein!!! 'Call us you must...or fine will be greatly expanded....only call once we will....WARNING!' I PLAYED IT 20 TIMES BEFORE i DELETED IT.....HOW DID THEY NOT TRICK ME WITH SUCH A AUTHENTIC MESSAGE!!!
To add to....... The Daytona body work had been perfected building the Charger 500......so it was more 'finished'. The Superbird was kinda thrown together so Petty would return to Plymouth....otherwise he'd stayed with Ford and history may be very different. Roof was somewhat 'rough' and the front fenders were old Dodge units.
I have a few M&S kits.......but they are now beyond my price point........another reason I myself left the biz...... BTW.....M&S kits are very nice....so those that can afford...go for it!
If the post is of a completed build....and I have something to ADD by posting a build I will. If my build is somehow complementary or demonstrates a different option.....something helpful ....no issue. You post as 'mine is better' it's just passive aggressive. Boils down to intent.....sharing or gloating.....
When my son and I did a ground up restore on my 66 2+2 we almost did the Shelby window in place of the louvers.....but as we wanted to be different we left them in.....and they do work so the added air is a plus!!!
Thanks.......I have the kit parts ready.......GT350R for the front roll pan, GT350H for stock body and glass and Pace car for flat hood!!! Resin wheels from aftermarket.
For some reason the photo of my real Mustang project keeps being deleted from my post.......not sure why???
But this is my favorite Mustang project and I supervised it much like a model project.....so here she is.....
Great work on the conversion. I bought a few of those NB toys that looked close to 1/25 scale.
I have only done anything to one of them.....the Cat dump truck.......I went more Tom Daniels on mine!!!
Some die cast take offs wheels and tires.....parts box stuff and a new cab and details. These toys are good start points!!!!
Green or yellow plastic makes no difference to me.....a single coat of Tamiya silver leaf spray and it's the same as white plastic.....the reason is newbies and grandma......
Yep......as I said just above your post........lots of variables!!!! I'm just happy I do not have issues with my methods. FYI I apply the Future with a dedicated sable brush only.....
The cracking has two causes I have found after 30+ years of use. 1. Every time I used it over Tamiya or other water based paint the Future had cracking issues. Per people that know more than I do.....it's a combo of slow dry time for the paint abd chemical reaction. I stopped using water base after that. 2. Solvent based paint 'gassing out' will cause Future cracking. Easy fix......use dehydrator to cure paint or allow paint to FULLY cure.....like a month or two. Following these rules I have not had the issue since 1981........thx
I remember buying the 'bag of 100', 3 different kinds, with cars, planes and trains......I have a handful of each around that I have found at shows etc.....what a deal....penny cars, planes and trains!!!
