  1. No....but the RR in my photo above is a RM kit based on the SB kit.
  2. NOT being rude........(showing my build) I really like this kit. Some say it's to simple....wrong scale (vs 1/25) but it builds well and looks spot on to me. I want to build a few more in other colors....but only one so far/ I'll be watching.....
  3. I have been in the hobby business in many different forms since 1980. It started working on my days off in a buddy's hobby shop to today doing freelance work for the manufactures. During the late 1980's I was part owner of DNL Hobbies which was the manufacturing arm of Deb's Model Emporium hobby shop in Charlotte NC. We did a lot of business with Steven's Intl. We even went to Steven's twice for big close out sales buying LOTS of OOP imported kits and accessories. IIRC Steven's carried our DNL line at one time. Good to have you here.
  4. His last FB post was odd to say the least.......it will never happen....
  5. Been tempted to try this since the 70's.....be watching!!!
  6. Future as clear since 1983.....no yellow yet....but could happen....someday.....
  7. I've had my own battles over the years so I fully understand. Prayers to you it all goes well with least down time.
  8. I always tell them my 46 Ford needs some work......'click'....
  9. I like the scammers that leave a message that sounds like a cross of Yoda, Tarzan and Frankenstein!!! 'Call us you must...or fine will be greatly expanded....only call once we will....WARNING!' I PLAYED IT 20 TIMES BEFORE i DELETED IT.....HOW DID THEY NOT TRICK ME WITH SUCH A AUTHENTIC MESSAGE!!!
  10. A REALLY interesting project!!!
  11. Think what things would be like if scammers put half the effort into positive helpful activity???
  12. To add to....... The Daytona body work had been perfected building the Charger 500......so it was more 'finished'. The Superbird was kinda thrown together so Petty would return to Plymouth....otherwise he'd stayed with Ford and history may be very different. Roof was somewhat 'rough' and the front fenders were old Dodge units.
  13. GREAT interior!!!! I like the kit.....maybe wish it was 1/25......but builds great!
  14. I have a few M&S kits.......but they are now beyond my price point........another reason I myself left the biz...... BTW.....M&S kits are very nice....so those that can afford...go for it!
  15. The LTD II shares A pillars and windshield/roof front with S&H so something to start with....but more than I am able to do.
  16. Wish someone would do a plastic 77 Thunderbird......we could use it as a start for a number of conversions.
  17. If the post is of a completed build....and I have something to ADD by posting a build I will. If my build is somehow complementary or demonstrates a different option.....something helpful ....no issue. You post as 'mine is better' it's just passive aggressive. Boils down to intent.....sharing or gloating.....
  18. When my son and I did a ground up restore on my 66 2+2 we almost did the Shelby window in place of the louvers.....but as we wanted to be different we left them in.....and they do work so the added air is a plus!!!
  19. Thanks.......I have the kit parts ready.......GT350R for the front roll pan, GT350H for stock body and glass and Pace car for flat hood!!! Resin wheels from aftermarket.
  20. For some reason the photo of my real Mustang project keeps being deleted from my post.......not sure why??? But this is my favorite Mustang project and I supervised it much like a model project.....so here she is.....
  21. Great work on the conversion. I bought a few of those NB toys that looked close to 1/25 scale. I have only done anything to one of them.....the Cat dump truck.......I went more Tom Daniels on mine!!! Some die cast take offs wheels and tires.....parts box stuff and a new cab and details. These toys are good start points!!!!
  22. Cool!! we need details!!!! what and how.....
  23. Green or yellow plastic makes no difference to me.....a single coat of Tamiya silver leaf spray and it's the same as white plastic.....the reason is newbies and grandma......
  24. Yep......as I said just above your post........lots of variables!!!! I'm just happy I do not have issues with my methods. FYI I apply the Future with a dedicated sable brush only.....
  25. True.....I'd not say 'never' or 'always' about others methods.......too many variables....... Just sighting my own experiences with said product.
