  1. She is SO GOOD in VERTIGO......if by chance anyone has never seen.....
  2. A little tougher.......maybe not a Bacall......but still......
  3. A super easy one.....but my ALL time favorite........
  4. Again....pretty sure they have all they need but a slot in the schedule and the 'capital' to do so....... Look at ALL the product lines R2 has....slot cars in 2 scales, die cast in many scales, auto, truck, space and sci-fi....time and money......
  5. Pretty sure the retooling of the 'goodies' is the reason for the dely of TTT........R2 brings it up now and then....I want a few....
  6. Some track in my stash still has masking tape on the back with a red crayon mark......that was my mark!!!!
  7. ONE of the very few Hot Wheels Sizzlers items I never got.......and still want one today. I have most of the HW sets and most of the Fat Track sets....or the major parts of them. There are a few really odd single lane Sizzlers items I saw in catalogs but never in person. Once about 1969 my buddy and I combined our HW track, set it up outside (So Cal). He lived on a steep hill and we made a track about 100 feet long with curves etc......to be 12 again!!
  8. Don't think so...... WAY too many produced today and kept in package. I am an original Hot Wheels kid.......about 6 months before they came on the market I was picked to 'test' some new Mattel toys....turned out it was Hot Wheels. They had me play with htem...then asked me a bunch of questions. As payment I got a strip pack set, track, clamp and car, about a month later....before they hit the market.....I was a popular kid!!!! THAT set kept mint in package would be worth the price of a good used Honda today....... Today's stuff, common mass market stuff......nope. I will spare you a story about how I had some Hot Wheels items worth a NEW Honda today and lost them all.........
  9. The kit is the old IMC kit 'Bug's Buggy'. It's pretty simple dune buggy. It has issues......front tires are much larger than rear.....so some parts swapping will be needed. I bought one because I never knew they had reissued it....I have an original IMC version.
  10. Mine had about 3 Revell new tool 55 Chevy convertibles.....all gone 2nd trip.
  11. Can't see it being any retailer that is still in business. Ollies has almost 200 stores.....if my store was average each got 500 models.....that's almost 10K kits. Also if they had been bought at wholesale that would have been more than Ollies priced them at. Gotta be a distributor....a first level one at that....and they stll took a hit.....or was part of a final sell off / bankruptcy. i
  12. I have a feeling the Ollies warehouse broke up cases......otherwise one store could get 5 cases of SSR's and sell none of them!!!! No rhyme or reason to the mixing.....but bet if they came in to warehouse in case lots they broke them up. VERY interesting to know where they came from....
  13. Working in the manufacture side and the retail side of the hobby I passed hoarder stage about 1997.... I sold 2500 kits in 2015 and still have too many....
  14. Traveling today and I stopped by 'my' store again.......almost nothing but T Rex, VooDoo planes and Revell SSR's.......maybe more SSR's than last week if that is possible. (bet Revell wishes it had those tooling dollars back!!) I picked up a F-150 and a Magnum....needed neither but had to grab something. Same lady was at check out today as last week when I bought $165 worth.....she remembered me, she said she had never seen stuff fly out like these kits.....SOMEONE is buying kits......even in rural WV!!!
  15. Over on the NASCAR forum we talked about the potential of a GOOD 70 Charger being a great stock car racer version. Many of us e-mailed Revell and they replied they were looking at the race parts from the first issue Daytona in some other issue of the 70 kit. So that's one version possible....and if you agree or have other ideas....let them know!!!!
  16. One kit I grabbed was a Monogram 32 Ford....did not realize inside was the Revell 32 from a few years ago....nice for $8....
  17. Yep......got some good deals........but I think they changed their MO and don't any longer....
  18. Mine had a ton of Manx.......odd how they don't try to even it out....but that cost time=$
  19. Wish mine had Gremlins.......grass is always greener......
  20. They sell them at $8 because I am sure they bought them as a lot....maybe from a distributor, why we have 2010-2012 kits, or foreclosure bankruptcy or similar. They are still making $$$$ If I had to guess I'd bet they paid less then $5 a kit.....maybe a lot less.
  21. 14 but it may get changed before I'm 'done'.....
  22. Traveled the 1.5 hours to my nearest store. It paid off pretty good. I wanted a Little Red Wagon but they had none. But I still found a basket full. My store had a 8 x 8 foot isle gondola full from the floor to about 6 plus feet. LOTS of stuff for sure!!! On a side note the woman a the check out said they'd been selling all day as fast as anything new in the store. Another shopper said she had bought 6 kits for her husband and other at the local VA hospital. Things I didn't get.....Revell Ferraris other than the 360 I got, F-150, Revell 55 Chevy soft top, Lindberg 71 Mustang, Revell Magnum, 70 Challenger, space shuttles and dinosaurs. My haul....... PS Surf Woody came from Hobby Lobby......GREAT updated reissue with new tires, diorama, book, two colors glass....nice!!
  23. Pretty much says it all.........Dad worked with Ivo and I want to build a few of his rides......
  24. Very nice work!!!!! I think that is a great kit......
